Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays
Moose replied to wor jackie's topic in Football
I don't envy your task at all, there's so many avenues to go down, all of them have their merit. For me personally, I think the message should emphasise our unity and defiance. Whatever the display is, I know Wor Flags will do us proud as always and 'you know who' will be squirming in his sofa as he watches the game in his Liverpool replica top with his name printed on the back (an early birthday present from Romano) -
OK, fuck it. I intially wanted us to make a statement then thought that silence would be more a more profound message, but after reading that, nah, the statement was the right thing to do. Isak, his agent and Romano will be furiously trying to pick apart the wording there and try and drag this down into a 'Facebook comment section war' but we've emphatically said everything that needs to be said there. Great job.

I doubt the mackem game will be as venomous as this one!

At the end of last season I thought that Isak would one day belong in the pantheon of Newcastle greats, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Sir Bobby, Shearer, Eddie, Bruno, Keegan etc as some of the greatest figures who I've had pleasure of witnessing in our colours. In just a few short weeks he belongs in the septic tank of depravity along with Ashley, Ranger, Owen, Bruce and Pardew.

So this was Liverpool's 'power play' all along. Not necessarily buying both Isak and Ekitike but ripping away Isak's mask, exposing that he is no legend in the making but a venomous rat. Nobody wins in this scenario, Liverpool won't get Isak for a cut price, we all now despise this cunt and his career is as good as finished here but the biggest loser of all is Isak who has in effect divorced his loving wife and abandoned his kids to chase after a prettier girl who once kissed him at a nightclub

Immediately after seeing the statement I was enraged and wanted the club to respond with an emphatict statement. But on reflection, that would just create a media feeding frenzy of Isak/Liverpools word vs purs, they have the advantage when it comes to media mouth pieces, so that's not a battlefield we want to be dragged onto. The smart move is the let him drip on social media like your aunt complaining about her ex on Facebook. Of course you'll still get the likes of Romano, Ornstein and Those weird Irish Liverpool fan channels to say 'u OK hun' but most of the football media and especially fans of all teams will see right through it and will only see Isak making an arse of himself. Never interrupt your enemy while he's making a mistake.

Well, I for one am absolutely flabbergasted that the Rangers fanbase haven't taken kindly to him. It seems like he'd fit right in!

Vardy's camp issued what was essentially a 'come get me plea' to Celtic in the Scottish Sun. If heโs at the point where he's tweaking for a Scottish team, the chances are he's had the door slammed shut in his face everywhere in England. Absolute non starter.

This feels like another Guehi saga, if Brentford are gonna play silly buggers with us then move elsewhere before we end up getting stung again. 60m for a 28 year old with 1 year left on his deal is absurd

In case this Utter Woke Nonsense chart is a bit bamboozling, I've underlined the key information in red.

I've got a really good feeling about this lad. He came across very well in his interview, he backs his ability, seems like he comes from a good family, already has links to the area and is pally with a few of the squad already. 39m gets you next to fuck all these days especially in the way of PL proven quality. An absolute bargain.

When this shitstorm first kicked off, we all knew it would be the ownerships first real test in dealing with a team above us in the food chain trying to prise away one of our best players. So far, they've aced the test. They haven't buckled despite Isak and Liverpool throwing everything at us, playing every dirty trick in the book from going on strike to briefing influential mouth pieces to whip up a storm in the media. I get the feeling that both Isak and Liverpool thought we'd cave in. Liverpool (and any other cartel team for that matter) would do well to remember who the fuck they're dealing with here. This isn't some midtable soup taker like Brighton, Bournemouth or Palace who'll gladly sell their best players when the cartel come knocking and do their best to reach a cordial agreement that suits all parties so long as they make a neat profit. They're dealing with a team that is aiming to dethrone them and a majority owner who will not take kindly to being made fools of in the media. Our owners have faced many challenges since they took over, a lot of them being traps set by the cartel to stunt our progress. They've got a lot of things right, they've got a few things wrong, but so far, I'm happy with the way they've slammed the door in Liverpools face. A lot can change in the next 2 weeks or so, but so far so good. This saga is about more than just Isak, this will define our reputation going forward in the transfer market.

Side note: that Brentford shirt is absolutely honking, it screams "Championship dross". They've foreshadowed their own relegation with that pish

Promising debut from him today, I have absolutely no worries about him, he'll be a star here.

If he ever plays for us again, I'll want him to do well because it benefits the team. But I will never forgive, nor forget the way he's disrespected each and every one of us. I've never felt so personally insulted by one of our players, and this is a club that once employed Michael Owen and Nile Ranger! He's spent the whole summer lurking in the shadows, communicating via the most insufferable gimps on the Internet who've whipped up an unbearable shit storm across the football landscape that we've all had to endure. I love our manager and our players, and it infuriates me to see that these guys who I care about and respect are picking up the slack for this mutant, whether it's constantly batting away questions about him or playing out of position to do his job, weaking the team as a consequence. I don't really know what I want to see happen to him, ideally I want him to fuck off but I don't want him to get what he wants. I'll trust the manager and the clubs judgement however it pans out, but one thing is for certain, he could single handedly win us the quadruple but I'll never forgive him for the damage he's caused this summer. Fuck him to the depths of hell.

The last 6 teams to get promoted before this season were all utterly pathetic and never stood a chance at surviving. I begrudgingly respect that Sunlun went down the Notts Forest route of building an whole new team instead of the Sheff Utd route of bending over for 38 games until cashing in the marrachute payment. Hopefully their rebuild blows up in their face and they get punted back down to the doldrums where they belong. Today has me worried that they'll survive though, not so much because they're good but because I'm concerned that the years of coasting it as midtable dross will catch up with West Ham and Wolves this year. Brentford have done their very best to weaken themselves too. The relegation scrap will be a lot more open this year.
