Is Jason Soutar usually reliable?
-
A nice wee Viking pal for Elanga and Osula to speak Old Norse with.
-
Does anyone knoe if Liam Keen is reliable? If what he says is true, that doesn't bode particularly well for the Wissa deal.
-
This must be the 5th or 6th 'Deal should be finalised in next 24-48 hours' of the saga

Emegha would be a really exciting signing, Alex Barker has a great eye for a player but he's ignored the fatal flaw here, which is that as a Strasbourg player, he's essentially in a holding pen waiting for his inevitable Chelsea move.

What you described right there is the doomsday scenario, it's exactly what Liverpool and Isak have been trying to do all summer. Liverpool get their world class striker at a knock down price, somewhere between what they paid for an unproven, untested Wirtz and what they received for Coutinho 7 years ago. Isak's behaviour is vindicated and a dangerous precedent is set. The twitter shills and the cartel media wank themselves into a frenzy. After spending all summer trying and failing to replace Wilson, we now need yet another striker a week before deadline day when all viable targets are unavailable and every man and his dog knows we have a 130m wedge burning a hole in our pocket. For the reasons listed above, absolutely no sale can be entertained. Not to Liverpool and especially not for 130m. I understand your sentiment, I wish the cunt would just fuck off too instead of hanging round the club polluting our air, but we can't let him get what he wants after the way he's behaved.

He deserves a lot more respect than he gets. His reputation has been stained by some high profile failures but he's been very decent, if not spectacular more often than not. He got ridiculed and meme'd to fuck when he failed at Man Utd, but every manager since then has suffered a similar fate. Following the greatest manager of all time was always going to be a tough gig. He also took the mackems down but they'd been circling the toilet bowl for years at this point and the sqaud was rotten to the core

I'm sure bias plays into it, but I wouldn't swap Eddie for any other manager in the league. Give Eddie a stone and he'll carve you a statue, I don't think any other manager in the league elevates players in the way he does. For years we'd talk about how players would come in, look good and then get 'Pardewed' or 'Bruced' and turn to shit, thankfully now we get to enjoy our players being 'Howed'. If for arguments sake Eddie takes the England job tomorrow, I'd be fine with Iraola, Emery, Glasner or Frank taking over (albeit Frank is a bit of a nonce) and I'm sure we'd be in and around the same sort level we are now. I can’t envisage Pep, Slot and Arteta here and I'm not even sure how much of a cut above the aforementioned managers they are bearing in mind the financial restrictions they have imposed upon then. No thanks to any of the other managers.

Just the small matter of the 2nd leg of their CL qualifier away to Brugge (3-1 down) and then Celtic this week for Rangers. The vegan Ant Middleton will be lucky to see September if he comes away empty handed from the game today and the 2 next week

Have his former Man Utd team mates and fellow PFMs who work in the media called out the Blackpool fans yet for being ungrateful and disrespectful towards one the most important British managers of the 21st century yet? It's OK, I'll wait.

Today's result says a lot more about West Ham than it does Burnley or Sunlun

@SAFC L, you still here marra?

How many "24-48 hours" have past since the deal was likely to be concluded in the next 24-48 hours? Transfer journalists have warped my sense of time.

Alex (if you're lurking), all of us here have survived much worse than a player of your calibre leaving. We're in good hands now, we'll be just fine without you. Next time you get that gangster bum you call an agent to pay the pasta nonce to try and belittle us on twitter, remember the wise words of a man far greater than you'll ever be:

Having survived the DCL and Jamie Vardy phases, we have now ventured into the Kauã Elias phase of the window!
-
You just know it took every ounce of self control for him not to tweet " 🇸🇳 Jackson only wants Villa" I'm convinced the only reason he didn't tweet that is so he didn't appear disrespectful towards Bayern.

Amen, the past few years has seen the rise of the spreadsheet shagging southern nonces whose raison d'etre is to herd and raise players for the cartel to eventually pick up once they're ready. Boring clubs with gash fans in soulless, flat pack, copy and paste stadiums doing nothing but making up the numbers in the league and making their cartel worshipping owners even richer. If the league is going to be full of Southern teams, fine, at least give us some mad lads like Millwall, Pompey or Wimbledon

Jesus, that Celtic game was absolutely diabolical. Almaty have got to fancy their chances of making it through now. Celtic have a game this weekend, then travel to the corner of Kazakhstan that borders Kyrgyzstan and China and then the small matter of the derby at Ibrox. Meanwhile, they have 100m sat in the bank and have spent 3m so far this summer. Did Mike Ashley takeover Celtic overnight and we all missed it!?
-
Celtic 0-0 Kairat Almaty at HT. Celtic have looked woeful. From what I gather, their board is stockpiling cash, selling their best players and not replacing them. I guess they cab bank on Rangers being clown show every year to see them right in the league, Europe not so much!

I'm absolutely astonished he just copy and pasted the statement and didn't take the opportunity to add his own spin Something along the lines of: "Regardless of that whatever nonsense that statement was spouting, Alexander Isak's intentions remain clear. Liverpool ❤️. He only wants Liverpool. Liverpool Football Club. L.I.V.E.R.P.O.O.L. Anfield is his destiny. They will be together one day, and it will be beautiful 😍 #YNWA #TeamIsak #FreeAlex"

I'm getting really fucking bored of this saga and I'm finding it harder and harder to defend his actions, especially with all that's going on with our own club. Yes, I know the circumstances are slightly different but the principal is the same. If Brentford really want to charge us 50m+ for a 28 year old in the last year of his deal, fine, it's their prerogative, he's their player and the way they're going, he could be the difference between survival and relegation. I guess we then go all in on Jackson, at least Chelsea are willing sellers if nothing else.
