  1. https://www.teamtalk.com/news/howe-offers-bournemouth-fans-apology-after-admitting-personal-mistakes The type of bloke we now have in charge. That alone is enough when we consider the mess of a man who we previously had.
  2. The fella from Bournemouth. The mighty Rafa. What an absolute cunt Bruce was. Snide remarks all over.
  3. Total coaching overhaul. He turned down Celtic for not accepting his demands in terms of coaching staff.

They actually probably would. Non white people are not welcome in Sunderland.
  5. He was not my first choice but a massive upgrade on the previous manager. His record in Europe gets him a yes from me. Once we eventually get out of this mess we are in then we should be, based on our wealth, looking to establish ourselves as regular European competitors. He may not be the long term answer if we want to be competing with City and PSG at some stage but to be a bridge to that through higher league positions, the Europa, and success in cups, then he fits the bill. He didn't do well at Arsenal, but he was dealing with being the replacement for a very long term manager. Similar to the task David Moyes had at Manchester United. He isn't doing too badly at the moment and he has no where near the pedigree of Emery.

Becoming abundantly clear that he was part of the problem all along. The sooner we are shot of him the better. Clear out the entire lot from the past regime. Don't leave one of them stinking the place out.
  7. I'd get Nuno in right now. We are going to need to be patient and not expect the very top level players and manager right away. We have the money but we will need to get in that one level lower than the elite and establish ourselves a top 6/8 side before we move on to attracting the huge names. It takes time. 14 years of shite can't be washed away overnight.
  8. He consitantly underachieves with players well above what his managerial ability warrants. The exact opposite of what we need.
  9. I was all for giving it time but now I think we need to get this done quickly. We now have Spurs looking for a new manager. There is a really big chance that Manchester United will be joining us soon.

When do this lot play Burton again? Always hilarious when these two play one another.
  11. Not proper football people. The likes of Merson could never respect them. Real football men down 10 pints a night, eat kebabs, snort coke and piss away their money on the horses.
  12. I'd take Nuno. He did well at Wolves and took on a pretty bad situation at Spurs. The Kane transfer saga and his poor form hardly helped. I reckon he could do a job for us.
  13. I would say we probably are. Our owners ambition and the type of manager we want to hire have a huge gap between them. Any manager of experience and used to success would want to get in to a ready made team ; with all the structure like a good training ground, academy, team mentality, years in Europe. We have been stinking out the league for years. We are a project, despite our wealth. Not many big names would look at us until we do something. We need to focus on getting a young manager willing to work on a project and making us appealing again. I am starting to think that the owners were naive thinking money could buy the best. No credible manager wants a relegation on their CV, and that's what is potentially there with us.

What exactly, from his time coaching our players, makes you say this? I see nothing from our players that make me think they have a good coach.

Get rid of him. He had a great job hiding behind Bruce. He has been exposed as inept now. His team and tactics are not dissimilar to Bruce's. Get someone new in and fast, because with this bloke in charge we are going to be in serious trouble.
  16. It is becoming obvious that he was in charge all along. He needs to go once we get a new manager in.

    U23s & Academy

I think this is a good move for us. They brought through some decent players from their academy. I'm not up to speed totally on what roles he was in but it seems he must have been a coach at their academy when Henderson and Pickford came through their ranks.

Can't be true. They must have been mags undercover.
  19. The bloke is biggest mercenary in football. If he were a foreigner he would get slaughtered in the press for his actions.
  20. Sky have an agenda now when it comes to us. They need to sell subscriptions and the usual title being decided months before the end of the season doesn't help. They need a soap opera storyline to churn out. We were their storyline in the 90s with the entertainers teams. Now we have turned heel and are the evil empire after the takeover and the 'abuse' of Bruce. Wouldnt be surprised if they show our highlights montages to the Imperial March music from Star Wars.

To be fair to the mackems they are certainly not hypocrites when it comes to the takeover. If a bunch of foreign brown people rocked up in Sunderland they would surely be chased out of town

Also them being relegated by a player whose mother they racially abused, for a team they mocked us for playing against when we went down. The day they lost to Burton and Bent scored I started being nicer to everyone as it was obvious karma does indeed exist

That is mag behaviour. Mackems are much classier than that.
