They have got another 3/4 good players to announce They are looking to get promoted again (however it won’t be easy) as wolves beat them 5-1 last season in the cup and they are in this league Wolves to be fair came runners up (only on goal difference) We need to win the league again to get promoted ! Only 1 team goes up Judging by the level of players we are bringing in , I think we will be in the mix for sure West Brom came 8th (out of 12) in that league and also beat Newcastle (last pre season) so the friendly at St James park will be a good barometer to how things could go albeit West Brom struggled last year , so I am hoping we beat them quite convincingly. The level of players we are bringing in are all championship (which is the next league up) so it should make them very competitive.

For what it’s worth I think we will sign one more after Barnes (but then have to sacrifice a ‘purple’) and some deadwood to balance that off

Yes but you have to think of the next windows we have probably done this with most of our signings , so if we have to pay a percentage of trippier , Bruno , botman , Gordon , pope , isak , Tonali every year we won’t have much to spend in the forthcoming windows this is why we have such limited wiggle room

As above I think we will sign one more biggish name then two (loans) or smaller fees with players with potential or squad players with more quality than we currently have The owners / hierarchy always said it was a slow build , which is fine with me it does put pressure on all of our signings to be the exact fit (or we will temporarily plateau / fall slightly behind) We just have to be patient and build our revenue streams It will make it more satisfying when we do open the cheque book up and compete at the top
