So we sign a player who plays for 3 games then he’s out for at least 6. He’s the 5th person this season with injuries - we say that’s questionable and get a ‘here they are’ response to say we’re idiots or something. When there’s this many you’d do well to try and learn from mistakes is all I’m saying. A lot of our players always seem to have injury issues and I really don’t want to see isak going the same way. Try to be proactive instead of reactive

I genuinely think with his ability it’sa case of when not if he starts moving up the pecking order ahead of Murphy etc. he seems to take the premiere games in his stride and doesn’t get phased at all.
-
Why would you put that out there?
-
I’ll take that positive thought to latch on to.

You saying it’s unreliable? Please say it’s unreliable

Big statement about a team 1 point above us with a game in hand and have beat Liverpool and arsenal this season.

-
That’ll wyke the smile off their faces.
-
Sunderland gradually slipping down the league now. 1 - 0 down.
-
One of their old players as well, that’ll wyke the smile off their faces.
-
Fulham looking more and more dog shit every week as well.
-
Let’s go with that

Sounds about right - definitely had “39 since Sunderland last scored” in it, thought I heard a hundred but couldn’t have done.
-
239 shots since Sunderland last scored I think bbc just said.

It’s a very nice article and in an ideal world great but imo its not achievable. You talk of 1999 financial achievements as if “let’s just do that again then” but back then there was no £400m Man City stadium sponsorships or 62,000 attendance grounds like their is now. The game has changed and at some point we’ll hit a ceiling in my opinion and if we don’t break through then what happens? Don’t get me wrong - I’d love to be wrong and totally understand people wanting to keep the name but for me, if they were to ever say “look trust us - changing the name would help us considerably” they’d get my backing.
-
Thing is everybody having a pop at us for this no ceiling bullshit - nobody spoke up for us when we were getting bled dry for 14 years, if it was financial fair play then they’d protect those clubs as well. It’s a financial capping system.

They have always said the fans would be consulted and I’ve never argued against that but they’ve acknowledged on more than one accasion that spending like we have in every window with our current setup isn’t going to work and we need to create more revenue streams. Shirt and stadium sponsors is always going to be top of that list I feel https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/23043954.newcastle-united-willing-sell-naming-rights-st-james-park/
