I must be the only one thinking he was pretty average yesterday? Personally I think he's got some pretty big flaws in his game but thankfully he's got a lot of very good aspects as well. Obviously playing at LB means he seems less helpful in attacking positions so I can't hold that against him but he's a very hesitant defender and this isn't something that he seems to have got any better at over the last year or so.

West Ham are the best team they could've hoped to play (other than Burnley). They've had a terrible summer, added barely nothing to their terrible squad from last season and have got a new(ish) manager who can't get a grip of the team. Wouldn't shock me to see Sunderland get 3 points against Burnley next week and then pick up just a couple of points here and there up to the start of November.

Bringing in Wilson after seeing what he had done for the last 6 months is grounds for someone to get the sack at West Ham anyway. Not sure that was Potter's decision or not though, but after today he's certainly on thin ice.

Can only assume Liverpool always wanted Ekitike, but only rushed in when they saw we were bidding for him. They may have wanted Isak first but our involvement pushed them into it.
