With Burn, Botman, Lascelles all being injured and probably not training recently it's not that surprising. Someone's got to.

Will need Joelinton to do the same job on DCL that he did on Mateta. Leeds arguably have a little more about them in terms of physicality in midfield so Tonali really needs to get a fucking grip.

That's a big if. I really don't see that happening. For what it's worth I think signing a player specifically to suit a particular manager is usually a bad idea. Even if it's Howe and he's pretty adept at getting the best out of players I would never personally want Newcastle United to sign a player purely based on a system Howe works with. IMO any player we sign has to be adaptable and of a high enough quality they can perform in the team regardless of who the manager is.

Couldn't care less about Maresca but I would've preferred to see Amorim stay I think he could've definitely made them a little worse this season. But saying that I don't think Rosenior is going to be making any improvements of Chelsea either.

With the season we've had so far, the fact we are four points off 5th spot is remarkable. Howe can count himself quite lucky with this, any other season and we'd most likely be adrift in midtable and 9/10 points off UCL places.

LB should be top of the list in January. Anything after that is a bonus IMO. But we need a LB desperately and I'm sure the powers that he knows this. Howe clearly does.
