I think it's partly that. But also because he's far better at delivering a cross than anyone else who plays in the wides areas. I'd argue he is THE best actually. Better than Trippier, better than Gordon, Elanga or Barnes.

Should've made the pass rather than shot when he ran through towards the end but other than that he showed exactly why he should start over Elanga. At least against certain teams anyway. Murphy for teams who sit back and Elanga for teams who push forward. It's just so simple, why has no one else thought of it 😂 😂

Would've liked to see Osula and Miley sooner but not really Howes fault completely. They were ready to come one at 85 and the ball never went out of play. Just feel like they both deserved more than 5 minutes, especially after we went 2 up.

Still could withdraw yes. If he's not fit enough to even be on the bench why would he go play international football. Alex Murphy is there ahead of him, that says it all.

Hall not even on the bench and people are trying to say he's actually fit enough to go off and play for England. Not a chance. He shouldn't be going.

He's absolutely awful in the press. It's not like Nick is much better, but perhaps he will get better. Isak isn't getting better at it any time soon, or ever.

I understand it, people want to see players like Wharton who have potential rather than Henderson who has failed on multiple occasions with England, but equally players like Foden, Grealish and Rashford who have all failed at previous tournaments have no right now expect or assume they'll be in the squad, they've had plenty of chances and haven't taken them.

That argument would be valid if not for one player in particular that Tuchel has brought into the team. What about Anderson? He's only a year older than Wharton so is still one for the future and has been given the opportunity to play alongside Rice and did extremely well.

What would be even more NUFC is Wissa getting back to fitness, actually playing a game for us and then Woltemade gets injured in that same game.

The arguement that he shouldn't be going to AFCON is obviously a ridiculous one. But equally DR Congo need to do better to protect him and not just chuck him in for every single game for 90mins. Hopefully they crash out in the group stage.

The reason is Howe won't want to drop Burn or Botman. Especially if we win against Forest. That will be seen as vindication for keeping Burn at LB. Plus they've already made it very clear he's not rushing Hall back, considering he wasn't even in the squad for the last Premier game and played very little yesterday. There's just FIVE games in October now, I can see him starting maybe two of them at the very most. But probably just one as Burn will play every week and only sit out the Carabao game. Then we are into November and there's currently SIX games, maybe he'll start two again, three if he's very very lucky or we've had some injuries. Then it's December and we've got two games a week all month so he'll basically have no option but to start using Hall every other game more or less at that point.
