  1. Pope doesnt let those get past him, unless deflection.
  2. True, but I thought Tonali stood out by having a really poor first half.
  3. Tonali has been looking alot better in the second half.
  4. I want to see Livramento on top of Wilson starting 2nd half.
  5. The West Ham killer in coming on from the start of the 2nd half, no worries guys.
  6. Cant fault the players for maybe being tired after recent games tbh. Much needed break now for those not playing internationals.
  7. Totally warmed up by now, sorry for checking in late!
  8. PSG crushed Dortmund though, so this is looking good!
  9. If its true that just saying «check complete» is part of the procedure, then i agree that the guys higher up deserves to share alot of the blame.
  10. Fuck Liverpool and all that, but im glad they took a hard stance on this to let this level of incompetence come to light. Hopefully it will force some changes.
  11. Do you have the exact wording of the rule? Pretty sure there is a rule that the ref have to go by the decisions made by VAR regarding offsides. So rules were already broken by letting the game go on with the wrong decision. The question then becomes which rulebreaking does less harm.
  12. Shouldn’t have been the decision of the one that made the mistake at least, should have let the ref know and let him make the decision.
  13. Has it been made clear whether “check complete” is part of the standard protocol or not? Human error is one thing, thought out protocols another. Can’t wrap my head around why the communication between VAR and refs doesn’t include a confirmation of the decision being made by VAR.
  14. Seems like it was only England that fucked up? First by saying check complete then by not letting the ref know the mistake happened despite Michael Oliver calling out for it? Why couldnt he just have let the ref know and let him make the decision? Also uses a long time to realize what has happened after the other guys are saying to him that the onfield decision was offside, just responding with "what?" 10 seconds later. This goes beyong standard human error. Doubt it was corruption though, no amount of money is worth making such a fool of yourself
  15. Why do people think incompentency like this is unavoidable? Even the refs here is Norway dont make these mistakes, and those guys dont even have it as a full time job. Whats so hard about refereeing in the premier league?
  16. VAR isnt the problem, it just exposes the incompentency if you wanna call it that. The people in charge of refereeing in PL needs replacing. And the new ones coming in also needs to be held to account if they fuck up. Enough of this overprotecting the referees, if they cant handle the heat they can look for a less media-exposed job.
  17. Must have read it wrong somewhere then. Doesnt really matter if its 2 or 5 though. Still find it impossible to believe that both fucked up that big at the same time. You had both the reactions of the players and the zoom in on the linesman. So only benign explanation for me is that the guy who communicated with the ref fucked up. But then its weird that the other guy didnt react that they didnt draw up the lines, which they ofcourse must do when they overturn a decision.
  18. Did none of the 5 people in the VAR room notice that the linesman had put up his flag? Or is it just the guy that communicated with the ref that fucked up? Strange rules that you cant go back 5 seconds after the ball is in play. And "check complete" must be the most stupid thing ive ever heard, who could ever imagine it getting misunderstood at one point?
  19. Have you seen a replay of it from the other angle? Clearly wasnt a straight leg, even after his foot rolled of the ball. Huge difference between the leg being straight and the leg being almost straight.
