Would help them with FFP though, 100% profit. So dont think its out of the question that we could get him for a reasonable fee.

Still hold Arsenal as favorites over us, but they are the only ones(apart from Man City that is). City dont need to slip though, just rightly punished. -
A deal would probably have to include us subsidizing a part of his wages. Would also thing he would agree to some sort of paycut for the chance to get playtime and extending his career. How much i dont know.
-
He probably wants a contract somewhere after this one ends, going to be hard to get it being stuck here without any playtime.
-
Why would you ever link that shit? 1/11 Newcastle players after we clearly were the best team this week. No Tonali
-
Because of the way FFP works with amortization. Selling Isak for example for £200m could help us fund five £100m players and their contracts for a couple of years. With how good we are with scouting players you know how much that would improve us. But like I said thats logic over emotion. Sometimes emotion trumps logic. Personally i would never sell our Swedish superstar.

Yes, the contrast between the two worst and the two best teams in the league is going to be interesting to see. -
Nah its just logic over emotion. Selling one of our stars for a ridicolous fee would help out alot in the short term until we got our commercial revenue going. Selling Isak anywhere near £100m is a non-starter though.

I actually dont give a shit about Man utd winning this. Thats not a team to be scared of.
-
Wolves are looking pretty great to be fair.
-
It isnt just about the money though, which i think our owners are a good example of. Need to get the right people in all parts of the organization.
-
Was rarely impressed by their performances, so not surprised by what we are seeing today. Points wise he did ok, but alot of uninspiring 1 goal wins.
-
This goes beyond conspiracy theory.
-
Maybe next summer if they are prepared to break some records.
-
Not that they are wrong, but those Liverpool tears are damn delicious.
-
Insane how people keep underestimating Kane
-
Hard to take in all that is happening live. But from what i saw he had a few sloppy passes and got caught in possesion a couple of times. Also didnt have any standout moments. As an average Joe i only take in 10% of what is happening though, so for all i know he could have been vital to our win.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Dubravka Tino - Lascelles - Burn - Targett/New LB Anderson - Longstaff - Willock Murphy Gordon Wilson Seems like a pretty good B team if you ask me. Should have more than a good enough squad to compete in both CL and PL. -
Only 3/7 from pot 1 and 1/6 from pot 2 that are better than us on paper i'd say. And if we get Barca from pot 1, we cant get Real from pot 2. So chances of getting 2 better teams are 2/7x1/6 = 5%. Not that its going to be easy, but if I could get even odds on us advancing to the knockout I would take the bet in a heartbeat.

30m is still a lot for a 31 year old with a year left on his contract. No way i want to risk the competition thing he got going on with Isak for that amount though.
-
Dont think the scoreline was flattering at all based on chances atleast. They looked dangerous sometimes, but couldn't convert it into clear chances. Atleast not that i remember. We on the other hand missed som pretty big ones: Tonali, Isak, Wilson all missed 1v1 with the keeper. Almiron had a chance on open goal, and could have gotten another if not teared down by the keeper. Also had a dangerous cross a feet or so away from a Wilson tap in. Joelinton header cleared on the line.
-
We are like the 8th favorite to win the whole thing, must get a really difficult group for us not to be likely to advance to the next stage.
-
Eddie did say that he thinks RBs easily can move over to LB, but not the other way around for some reason.
-
Unless we have a fairly priced replacement lined up, he is a keeper.
