Always interested to hear what the Italian Press have got to say, will give that article my full attention. Perhaps it will update me on how Botman is getting on at Milan too.

Looks exactly like the mock-up but with the black and white switched. Looks pretty decent to me. -
Leaving it a bit late if we're already over the limit like

The "Challenge" thing doesn't really change the main issues with VAR, namely how much it slows the game down (especially for match-going fans) and the fact that they still seem to get decisions wrong on a fairly regular basis. It hasn't removed the controversy, it's just shifted it from one ref on the pitch cocking up to one ref on the pitch and two refs watching a screen cocking up.
-
I'm a bit torn on those comments. Obviously the trip is to raise money to pay the wages of him and his teammates, as well as pay for reinforcements, he's paid an absolute fortune to play football so maybe he should just shut his trap and play football. On the other hand, it probably isn't ideal tagging another two games onto what has been a pretty grueling season, especially after a pre-season tour which has been given some of the blame for our pile-up of injuries. Playing in London on Sunday, then two games in three days in Australia, then three weeks later you're in Germany for potentially another month, then two weeks later you're in Japan.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Assuming he'd be our 6th choice CM I'd be interested to see what the teams above/around us have as their 6th? -
We are missing three of our best four CMs to be fair...

Was he the one who was saying Wilson was refusing to play then he started the next game? -
I don't know much about him, he looks like an elite shot-stopper but is he good with his feet like Ederson etc?

Can we just have a Kid Icarus kit request thread? Perhaps he could quit his job and abandon all his friends and family to keep it updated? Don't think that's too much to ask. -
Could be putting a (relatively) low asking price out there to try and drum up some more interest and start a bidding war?

Does an opinion piece not require an agenda by definition? If my opinion was that we should stay at SJP, that's probably how I would word the question and the possible answers I'd offer.
-
I have been a member of the Trust for a number of years, although I'm not sure how that adds more or less value to my opinion? My point is that you can't really gauge opinion if one of the options isn't really defined. Perhaps once we have a clear picture from the club as to what a renovated SJP would actually be, that would be the time to see what people think?
-
That's a massive oversimplification in my opinion. I mean, if you asked me which of those three options I'd prefer I'd say "Renovated SJP", but that's based on the hope/assumption that we would be able to build a world-class stadium on the current site. What if we couldn't? What if the limit was another 8k seats on the Gallowgate and that's it? Then I'd probably rather move. Unless you specify what "Renovated" actually is, it's a really poorly worded question/choice of options. Perhaps that is/was intentional on behalf of the Trust, perhaps not.

It'd be pretty strange if they weren't interested tbf He's a young, athletic CB with PL experience and available on a free transfer. They are short at CB, or they will be next season. Makes as much sense for them as it does for us.

Those Gallowgate Shots ones? They seem to have the same sides as the one posted earlier. -
Yes, this is the point I was trying to make. I don't like the idea of the Council going cap-in-hand to the club but the problem is that they're trying to fill the gap left by having their budgets cut time and time again.
-
This part was interesting; I think the fact that a council has to ask a wealthy foreign state to help feed children is a huge problem but I suppose we all have our own priorities... Don't get me wrong, I'm hardly a huge fan of what goes on in Saudi Arabia, but there are clearly some major issues closer to home that need addressing.

My two rules; 1. Never judge a strip until I've seen it "on" 2. A kit always gets viewed better or worse depending on how we play in it -

I think you're giving them too much credit -
Either way, how do you actually realise that value when there's a training ground on there? Either you own a training ground but don't own a football club to use it, or you own some land with a training ground already built on it. Surely the point of fair market value is that an individual, company or business not associated with CFC would also see the same value in the asset?
-
The Fair Market Value thing I can understand with a hotel, obviously is an ongoing source of income etc. that has value as an asset to a person or company other than CFC. But the training ground? How is that worth £100m+ to anyone other than the football club itself?
