It's like the acting version of this smiley HAWAY THE LADS HAWAY THE LADS

I agree, but if Howe really wants to sign him, he's not doing so just to add depth to the bench - it's to play #6.
-
If we sign McTominay, he's playing CM/#6/DM more often than not, not sitting on the bench.
-
I still miss Giuseppe Rossi
-
He's also 30

Maddison, Ruben Neves, Diaby Obviously I love an out-of-left-field signing out of nowhere but there's a real satisfaction in knowing we've bagged a player we really want (eg Botman, Isak)

NUFC kits & merchandise - 2025/26 home kit leaked pg. 825

I reckon you could easily clean up/modernise our current crest without changing it completely & losing the link to the coat of arms which I really like. -
Johnson has 7 goals so far in his first PL season playing for relegation candidates, Nico Williams (21) has played 60+ games in La Liga & Joao Pedro (21) has played almost 100 games in England including a full season in the PL. I'm not sure you're going to get a young forward with much more proven quality unless you go into the £60m+ range.

How much did they sell Grealish for? Or was that a previous ownership?
-
I don't think its unreasonable at all. If you look at how we played 2nd half of last season versus how we play this season, it took the squad as a whole months to get fit enough to play Howe's way. Isak's only been here since the summer and missed a decent chunk with injury so not surprised it's taking time to get him up to speed.

Someone mock me up an Adidas kit with that logo on it...

I think the ToonMouthTyne "info" is the Castore/adidas thing rather than the 23/24 kit design itself. -
I think that's probably it. As long as the decisions are being made by YAR, Staveley etc. not by a third party (someone not listed as a Director) I don't think there'll be an issue. Plus, as The Prophet says, the PL never objected to the takeover on moral grounds, it was purely piracy. The "separation" issue being settled just meant neither side had to admit it.

Those leveraged debt payments didn't stop them splashing out on Pogba, Maguire, Ronaldo... Whoever takes over Man Utd will spend lots of money. How rich they are doesn't worry me, it's how well-run they end up being, that's what will make the difference.

Same. Also when people sign off an email with just their initial. Seriously, you're not in James Bond, take an extra 1 second and write your actual f**king name. Regards, K.

We're supposed to be winning football matches, it's not Make A Wish Foundation. -

Especially against a team we think might just sit back. I don't mind the extra work rate and defensive contribution against certain sides or in some away games, but we should have the confidence to attack this game. -

Nobody seems to know for sure but I've seen 2024 quoted in a few different places which would presumably be the end of next season? -

That was fun88 I think -
I don't know whether it's just an apocryphal tale or whether it's got a basis in truth but I remember reading that a paper (presumably the Echo) had planned to do a "Top 10 Moments" voted for by Sunderland fans. They decided to scrap it in the end because 7 of the 10 were Newcastle failures. The top was either us losing out on the title after the 12-point lead or Shearer getting injured in the 4-1 game.

Weren't there early plans to add a hotel to an extension of the Gallowgate? Or was that just one of those hypothetical things?
-
What if the choice is Gallagher now or Maddison in the summer? Obviously I'm sure it's not that simple but I bet similar discussions are being had at the club.
-
I don't think we'll get another midfielder. My best guess is it's a combination of factors; 1. The player (or players) we really want aren't going to be available until the summer 2. Eddie will be happy enough to rotate Bruno/Willock/Longstaff/Joelinton seeing as we will have at most one extra fixture between now and the end of the season 3. We might end up switching to a 4-2-3-1 at times and play two of the four above rather than three, allowing for more rest/rotation 4. Eddie has enough faith in Anderson to be the 5th CM
-
I wonder if we might see him occasionally as a number 10, a bit like Isak in the latter stages of the Fulham game. If a team is just sitting back we might offer a bit more going 4-2-3-1
