The Europeometerâ„¢ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

We're winning it aren't we? -
Don't worry, so did the majority.
-
Alnwick has had a stormer aswell!
-
Such early days for him, but if we can get him settled in then I'm fairly certain his first touch/first time pass will be admired. In the training footage I've seen he makes it look effortless in comparison to others!
-
Not necessarily, its knockout football. They aren't a team like Madrid, City or Bayern, and that's what I consider a top team, the ones that punish you and would've likely killed that game off first half. Of course they're a good team, but they didn't make me think we're in for a very tough night against them at SJP. If anything watching them made me think if we can get our play flowing by the time that game comes around we have a brilliant chance to take the points. In fact I think we're going to be a massive shock for these teams at SJP! PSG are getting it!
-
Top teams would've buried us in that first half imo. They aren't one, we have a great opportunity to get 3 points on the board when we play them at SJP, and having gained some more experience in the CL. We need to find a way to get more direct through balls into Isak, he's not getting much to work with! Everyone fought for the team tonight though, looked shattered towards the end.
-
From that half I took that they have a nice counter attack, but that we seem to be slowly coming into the game more and it's there for the taking. Need to exploit the space left for Trippier on the right more.

I'd love to know the story behind how Ancelotti ended up at Everton!

Does Eddie have to put on his best scouse accent for him?

That was just me relaying what some Milan fans were feeling. -

Quick browse of a Milan forum and it seems they're worried about the midfield that is expected to start, and that they think Pioli could be sacked if they lose. -
Link for the above I believe. 1pm kick off though which isn't handy. Anyone know whos included in our squad? https://www.uefa.tv/match/live/249385/2039386

Burn said something about Sports Direct, not sure what though. -
Fair enough. I just see it as a lighthearted joke, that coincidentally works perfectly with the team we've been drawn against. One of those things that won't ever change, in the same way they have FTM on every flag, which apparently doesn't stand for 'Flying To Milan'.

And weren't they pissed at the owners for selling him? Also Piolo, better than Howe? Hmmm. -
Yep! Of the players we could sell for a massive fee, he is the last one that should be considered. Strikers are always the hardest to replace, and this isn't just any old striker. Sadly I think Bruno would be that player, as I can think of quite a few players of a similar style/level. That's not the case with Isak.

Meh. Wor Garang's is better! -
Losing 1 - 0 to QPR. Colback has been sent off. Equaliser just as I post that of course.

And if we win those next two games, we're 2 points better off than last season. -
Thought it was a nominal fee?
