Couldn't care less about losing a player that we haven't even had for a year, would be sold for far far more than we got him, is way beyond our current level, and would be to the top club in the world atm. Love him and all that, but nobody is bigger than the club.

Slowly slowly catchy monkey. Whatever happens in the remainder of this window, eventually we will get there. I'd say we can be fairly sure at some point we will be back in European competion, dreams. I'm more into the story and slow build side of things for sure. Feeling so confident about anyone that comes in. So far only one out of seven of our signings could we say hasn't looked great.

The club obviously wants to sign players, but clearly of some quality based on what we get from the media. We could easily go out and fill the positions we want with players, I bet we're being offered players left right and centre by agents. But what's the point getting random players in when we can wait it out and have another bruno, trippier or botman. We're better off at this stage focusing on the first xi being as good as it can, and then the depth will naturally improve itself over time. I really can't see us not making at least 1 attacking signing and a loan of some sort. Something is going to happen, Eddie and co want the signings just as much as we do if not more, why wouldn't they want to improve.

I've gone 8th. Feel like the chances of us not losing an important player or two at some stage are close to impossible, so not much chance of anything higher unless the other teams (man utd/Leicester/west ham) have bad seasons. We just lack the depth it's so obvious when you look at other teams squads that we hope to surpass. First XI fit for 35 games with a new right RW and possibly attacking CM, who knows what we could manage. 6th if things worked in our favour. I'd love us to be the one to knock Man U out of the top 6. Maybe next season!

Lost two of their top players, without replacing them, unless the unknowns they've signed are hidden gems I don't expect Brighton to have as good a season as last.

Going from playing a game at St James and getting a taste for it to playing in front of Fulhams fans would be like a dream turning into a nightmare.

This is my biggest hope, that he's stays for a long time. I think providing the manager is of good quality then giving them a long time to mould the squad gives us the highest chance of success, not many clubs out there with that continuity. I'd also much rather see Howe work his way to a trophy and have the story of when he first arrived and all the successes than someone else come in make some minor tweaks then win a trophy.

This is exactly the reason we've been 'slow' in the transfer market. We're only after quality and it doesn't come easily or cheaply. We could continue to just make the Targett,Burn type signing that are good consistent players but if we want the Bruno, Trippier, Botman level then we have to play a different game to attract those players and convince their club to sell. Even our wage structure could be holding us back currently, let alone other factors such as European football etc. But we've managed to get 3 top players in so far in a relatively small time frame. So I'm happy with that, and it's will likely be a 4th before the window shuts based on the amount we're bidding for Maddison and Howes interview.

I was born in South Wales, so maybe even more of a plastic. Something about the fan base we have that attracted me to the club, can't put my finger on it though. Oh and the way we used to play was a joy to watch aswell.

Would be weird if he wasn't worried. If we were hearing about offers for Bruno from a big club or a club on the rise we would be shitting it aswell. I suppose because of our current owners wealth its not quite the same for us as other clubs because we are going to hit the stage of having all sponsors in place, tv money rolling in, we hope European football so more revenue, and all the other things that generate revenue and we will be able to replace no trouble. We will also hit the point of having players that we can actually sell for a decent wedge. Currently we have nothing really so we're just spending. Great times coming! Not that I'd ever want to, because we couldn't replace his personality. What a lovely guy he is!

Personally wasn't expecting us to go after a CB, wouldn't have been unhappy going into the season with Burn and Schar. However after watching him so far, regardless of it being pre season, he looks a big upgrade on what we have and possibly essential to the way we now aim to play?
