What probably hasn't helped us all is the amount of names we're being linked with, the caliber of some of the players. Inevitably that's going to send us a bit loopy, before we could pretty much right off every link as bullshit, now we haven't got a clue.

Yep I'm with you on that. We have the funds to do what needs to be done and they will do it. Absolutely baffles me how anyone could be worried in the slightest. If we go into the season without making another signing we're still a million miles ahead of where we were just before the takeover, just be excited for the next season and happy with what we have.

The best thing we could do that I think would really get to them would be stop talking about them, delete this thread. Shame it's so much fun to see all the idiotic posts they make though! Just the fact we probably now go into more games as favourites to win is enough for me. I'd say its basically a guarantee we bring in more players and that they will add to the team, regardless if their just adding squad depth. We're coming from such a weak position after Ashley in terms of depth, how many positions are there in the team that if X player gets injured our quality drops a good bit?

I actually think with consistent game time and the Howe factor, Murphy could do a reasonable job if worst comes to worst. Obviously not the ideal scenario like Diaby would be but with a bit of tweaking on some things he can be a threat or at least a good backup! Slated in 3..2..1
