Done an amazing job at RB and would like him to get an extended run in midfield now. Surely we not going to rely on him as a CB to cover for the issues we have now.

And they parked Wharton on him which stunted our ability to link defence and midfield. He is not in the best of form and has not been for a while now. Could do with a rest, focus on the new baby coming and be at his best for the crunch times coming.

Thiaw immense again, BigJoe was very good, Bruno with a captains performance but my MoM is Miley. They doubled up on him in the first half but he kept composure and was instrumental in the 2nd half. What a star we have on our hands. Tonali was schooled by Wharton and somethings not right with him. With defenders coming back to fitness, move Miley to midfield for a deserved extended run. Wissa offers so much more with his running and movement. His fitness is crucial to any potential run up the league.

My interpretation of what Howe was saying is that there is only a Plan A with a clear framework and set of principles and tactics underpinning it. Plan A however can evolve from X to Y, but will remain Plan A and not a situation where you have Plan A as X and Plan B as Y. This makes sense and Howe explained why this is the case. I do however think we need to adjust our playing style to bring the best out of the unique skillset of Wally and building around that. If you look at the age of our squad, he represents the future unless there is a view that he is an interim fix that the club was pressured into due to the rats behavior. I doubt Howe likes interim fixes so Wally should be here for a while. While I love the blood and thunder, in your face approach we had with the rat, that approach is not sustainable over a lengthy period of time and will only bring short term cup success and inconsistencies in a 38 game league season. Hence the need to evolve into a more methodical, deliberate style that maintains possession interspersed with a high press when the situation dictates. This may be our transitional season to that space and we certainly need another summer window to see a different type of player aiming to get the best out of Wally. Wissa is not the long term future, but he is adaptable to compliment a different style while he is here. The midfield and wide men is where the hard work lies. ps: Have our midfield forgotten how to make late runs into the box? Looks like only BigJoe got the memo.

Seeing some news that Frankfurt are signing a forward on loan from Forest coupled with earlier signing of another forward could mean they no longer interested on Osula. Wouldn't mind him staying and being able to backup our current strikers. We don't seem to be in a need to sell and we have loads of games coming up. Just need to get him fit this month and contributing from Feb onwards. Would be totally against loaning him to a PL club, can't see any benefit in that arrangement for us.

About time he is removed from free kicks outside of the opposition box. Think Howe needs to step in here.
