Im excited about that. Asides from ball watching on the corner, Miley has been good. I think the most pronounced issues we are seeing have to do with Gordon and Almiron being absolutely gassed. Wouldnt mind seeing Lewis Hall come on

Rub your ears. Drink some decaffeinated tea. Have a bath. It's not the end of the world and it's almost embarrassing how some people are reacting to this. You could point to him signing for us as one of the 3 transformative moments since the takeover. Sure he's cost us a few games this month but I don't think people should be reacting in this way. Maybe you need a rest along with Trips. It's been a tough few weeks for all of us.

I think he should get a break for mental purposes and also to recharge his batteries. He's probably our best or second best player after Bruno. No need for us to overreact to a few bad matches.

I'm not sure about this users post history over the past few years because I'm fairly new here, but I kind of agree with them. I think it's fair to criticize Eddie for how hard hes been riding these players. Plenty of chances to rotate the squad, but even if not, I don't think Gordon should have been out there to start the second half. Definitely room to improve for our manager when it comes to managing fitness levels.

Exactly my thoughts brother. I'm off to spam his social media with positive messages and support. The players see these things. Where I'm from we have this very underwhelming superstar hockey player who's had a rough go. We all did the same and he actually mentioned it in a few of his interviews since he's been playing better. The players see these things and notice them. I think he could do with a break. Seems more mental than physical. Can't say how much I appreciate what he's done for us. Transformative signing.

if you read my post again you will see that I said our injuries haven’t JUST been bad luck. As in its a combination of bad luck and players tired from playing every single match in a high intensity side for a season and a half.

I don’t think he’s being kept out due to the clause or Eddie not liking him. Eddie just likes to basically play the same team unless he’s forced to play someone through injury or suspension and then it’s up to that player to make the spot theirs like Miley and Tino have done. It’s probably my only criticism of Eddie as a manager. Hardly ever rotates the squad and is very reluctant to bring on subs even if the lads are running on empty. Our injuries aren’t just bad luck, we have been playing the same 14 players all year in 4 competitions.

Serious questions need asking for sure but we’ve been good. We’ve played basically the same squad for the entire season. It’s to be expected.

even if Barnes was fit, would you start him over Gordon?

I can’t sleep and I won’t sleep. So excited/nervous for this match.

I thought I loved Rafa Benitez. Was gutted when he left. This is on a different level. I tune into every interview. Never done that before with any other manager. I was playing football manager the other night and I noticed in 2028 Bournemouth have changed their stadium name to Eddie Howe Stadium. Going back and looking at what he did for that club from league 2 - nearly dropping out of the top tier, points deduction, gaining back to back promotions at that level is unheard of. I really had no clue how special what he accomplished there was. Going back in the past few seasons and looking at that, I think its much less of a surprise to see what he's doing with our squad. I would argue that what he did at bournemouth is probably slightly more impressive than this - which is already one of the most impressive managerial feats in premier league history. We are VERY lucky to have Eddie. I hope he stays forever and I hope we are patient with him when the squad inevitably (surely?) has a rough patch in the next season or two.
