  1. If I couldn’t see the table and just purely judging based on people’s reactions on here… I would assume we are 16th and in danger of relegation. Calm the fuck down pls
  2. I’m not sure what you mean by injuries or not. We have tons of injuries. It impacts our squad. Home/away splits? Strength of schedule? wolves are also equal with villa according to this metric with 17 from 10
  3. what goal has he let in that you would expect him to save? an own goal, deflection, tap in, etc even the goal in the cup final last year wasn’t on him. Casemiro had an easy finish there. why are we judging this guy and still using the cliches from the CL final vs madrid. he looked fine to me today and he looked fine when he played in the cup final for us. Maybe could do better with positioning. Maybe could hold a few more instead of the rebounds. can someone show me a goal we conceded that he can be solely blamed for? we played like shit
  4. Is everyone just piss drunk right now? Hahaha what on earth
  5. I need a translator for this one
  6. I won’t engage with you any further on this topic. I respectfully disagree. Time will tell
  7. I don’t see him getting sacked. Nor do I want him to be. Even if we do finish 9th. We are a bunch of spoiled brats. From fighting relegation to playing PSG in the champions league to now calling for the managers head..all in 2 seasons. Let’s calm down he deserves a healthy squad and a full summer window. If we are 9th this time next year, then I’m right there with you. we brought in Tonali who has a gambling injury. barnes has been out most of the year. botman barely played. pope went down a few weeks ago. Isak hasn’t been fit. The injury prone Pele known as callum wilson has been in and out. we have a loanee we don’t want to play (for whatever reason) I think it would be very inconsiderate and rash to sack Eddie this season. Even if we do finish 9th. However I do believe he could have done better in terms of tactics, subs, rotation, etc this season
  8. He proved he was an elite coach when he performed biblical level miracles to bring Bournemouth to the prem.
  9. this season won’t cost him his job. where are people getting this from?
  10. I was born in 91. Had to google that. Those women are still bare chested. I could fly to Namibia and rent a Toyota Land Cruiser and a film camera and recreate that. I’m speaking about western breasts. They don’t point upwards anymore. They seem nihilistic and they point down.
  11. I feel like women had nicer breasts back then. Like those triangular retrousse ones. Non-GMO free range tits that pointed upwards.
  12. I’m not sure which camp annoys me more. The doom squad who are turning on Eddie after an injury crisis…or the boot lickers who view him as infallible based on one incredible season. Any manager can be criticized. Eddie has made several mistakes this season. He deserves more time but shouldn’t be given too long of a leash purely based on the injuries (or last seasons successes)
  13. God bless Eddie. He’s made the right call (finally). I think we will be a completely different side with Tino playing. Isak helps also haha
  14. It’s not like we are both battling for 6th place..we are purely watching out of jealousy I guess
  15. im praying for controversy. id prefer beating them 1-0 with an insanely controversial goal over us beating them 10-0 can’t stand arsenal supporters and their manager is so cringe. I think being at city made him feel entitled to decisions
  16. If someone drove drunk 4 times..never got a ticket. correlation vs causation. im not sure we have had ALL that success against arsenal due to Dan burn. if you are sitting here honestly telling me that burn vs Saka is a good idea due to them scoring only twice in 4 matches..I’d like to know your views on sports data and sample sizes in general. I say all this respectfully. I completely disagree but I hope you don’t take this the wrong way. I just think quoting stats like that is looking through the wrong end of the telescope
  17. I’ve been impressed by Muniz, the Fulham striker. Also that American LB looks pretty decent.
  18. im fully expecting this and burn to be booked in 15 mins dragging down Saka ? if it’s burn against Saka, I’m going to seriously start questioning just how stubborn eddie can be.

    Alexander Isak

So how many mistakes is that now? I’m starting to think there is no working relationship between the staff.

I love his pressing and his enthusiasm. He has the footballing brain of a newt and he’s probably the most one-footed player I’ve seen since Arjen Robben. If he were a laptop he would have three buttons. 1. play a little one two and make a run in behind 2. Cut inside and shoot for the top left. 3. Run your ass off and re-endear yourself to the supporters purely based on effort.
  21. I think it’s way more complicated. I respectfully disagree. I see where you are coming from. I’ve worked in this field for 7 years now. It’s way deeper than any of us will ever know. All I can say is that these people are experts in risk/reward assessment. I had a contract with a large sports betting company. We don’t leave any leaf unturned and the budget is very very large. There was an NBA game we worked and I was in a zoom call with a doctor, a sports trainer and a psychologist (amongst other sports data folks) they were discussing how an injury/being overweight would effect a certain player. Literally pulling up his movements and speculating on how he walks. Which angle his tendons are attached to his bones. Things I can’t even comprehend. They even brought up his social media and speculation about his personal life. This player is Zion Williamson. I say all that just to give you an idea of how deep these people get into things. Down to travel time, change of time zones, etc etc. Ive been in another call where there was a very serious discussion about elevation. The Utah jazz and the Denver nuggets having an advantage over other teams by being acclimated to high altitude. As someone who manages odds, I want to let you know (based on my tiny knowledge and experience).. you have no clue how deep sports data and analytics goes. These people are playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers
  22. I’m convinced brightons success (and Brentford to an extent) has to do with owners who are very well versed in sports data/analytics. I work in a similar industry. These people can be meticulous. Pretty sure the Brighton owner runs a “sports investing firm”. We watch the matches as regular supporters, they just look at the numbers. Crosses, dribbles completed, aerial duels won, tackles won etc etc. it’s applying gambling theory to sports. Which is brilliant. Their owner is an expert gambler. Reminds me of Billy Walters. I doubt anyone would allow billy to buy a sports franchise. This is all about Bloom, these players and managers and scouts from Brighton are literally just all cogs in his genius system That’s how you find gems like Adingra or Maitoma playing for a random Belgian team but putting up impressive stats. the Brighton staff are all frauds. They worked well in that system. They deserve no credit for the system put in place by the ownership
