  1. Funny enough that’s perfect for a newly promoted team, that was the season he had most dribbles completed. Relieving pressure, wining fouls and allowing team to regain shape. It’s absolutely useless for a club like City who keep their shape and dominate possession.

It’s bad on this side of the pond. People are using this device called flipper zero (and other similar ones) . It basically replicates any signal. Key fobs, car keys, even credit cards for tap purchase. They use these extension tools so they can basically pick up your car key signal from outside of the garage. They take the cars and drive them to the nearest port, put it in a shipping container and it’s gone to the other side of the world. People use Apple air tags and other tracking systems to target a vehicle in a parking lot and show up at their home in the middle of the night. I know a few people who have invested in faraday bags and key holders to try and work around this. Criminals are getting more creative by the hour.
  3. He may be one day, just hope we don’t have that mentality or expectation of him to be a solution to anything at this stage. Would like him to go on loan again next season too. Better than sitting at the end of the bench and getting a 10 min cameo once in a while
  4. It’s a miracle that we are still in it for top 6 considering the season we’ve had and all the injuries. Can’t believe there are people out there calling for Howe to be sacked. If we finish 6th, he’s had the relegation escape, a 4th place finish and a 6th place finish with half his squad injured for most of the season.

This is an interesting one. Im not 100% sure but I do know that he’s played CM before and I’ve read posts from people on the Chelsea forums (doing some investigation when we signed him) saying he wants to play CM. Reminds me of the situation with Maitland-Niles being used as a RB by arsenal when he was probably better suited as a CM, however he wasn’t good enough at that position/proven position enough there to displace any of those ahead of him at the time. I can see his skill set translating very well as a midfielder but it’s hard to switch. The cement isn’t dry yet and it’s happened before but I think he’s a LB.

Valid points again but I don’t think the measuring stick should be full England debut or even be limited to English players. Also shaw and chilwell are 27 and 28. Kyle Walker is 33. Half of those came nearly a decade ago. Even if we stick to this metric of “only English players and full English debut = good and performing regularly at the top level”… that’s still a short list and some of them decades apart. we can agree to disagree

fair enough but I didn’t say there are none of them. I said it’s a short list. You’ve provided a rather short list. If anything this proves my point? The list would be much bigger for most other positions. my point is that it’s a position where there are less starlets or wonderkids who play and perform at that age in the prem. edit: also I don’t see making a full England debut as the metric. I mean performing week in and week out at this level, rare for young fullbacks. Not just English fullbacks but globally.

Same. Remember him being boo’d and fans chanting for Tino a month or two ago. He went from looking slow at LB compared to those pacey wingers to having some surprising recovery speed playing down the middle. Still in his prime at 31 id love to see him become even more of a local legend than he already is.

I don’t have much knowledge on the situation there but I have heard that Mudryk and Zinchenko have been donating. Not fair to assume they are just kicking a ball and living it up in England without any care for their family and countrymen. Same for Usyk the boxer and a few other famous Ukrainians. edit: wasn’t in response to you gbandit just on the topic in general. edit:20m of mudryks transfer fee went to charity and Zinchenko donated 1M himself. Doesn’t go far in terms of military equipment but can help people in need for sure

Completely agree. There are tons of young starlet players in every position. It’s very rare for a fullback. Most good fullbacks tend to be in their mid-late 20s minimum. It takes a lot of experience and reps to get the hang of that position. A player like trippier (when he’s in form) makes it look like it’s second nature. This is what makes Tino all the more impressive to me. He’s one of those outliers who is a top class fullback already at his age. It’s not common at all. Don’t even have any top young fullbacks that come to mind who play at this level. I remember Wan-Bissaka looking like a special talent at palace. Walker-peters. It’s a short list.

I love how direct he is on the right. Much prefer Barnes doing the whole cut in and shoot routine on the left. He can consistently beat his man down the line and put in a good cross. Unlucky not to pick up an assist on that Schar goal that was overturned. Could see him really supplying Isak with tons of good opportunities if he plays on the right next season.
  12. I love Burn at CB. Don’t ever want to see him play LB again.
  13. I agree with most of this but Schar 5.5? I thought he played really well.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Hell no BUT I’d only consider it because part of me would absolutely love it if he came here and performed very well…just to spite his former side and their insufferable fanbase. We don’t have enough freedom to be spending 34m on projects like him. Plus his attitude seems shit. I’d Take Neto on the right but he’s always injured. We will probably end up signing some random RW who none of us have ever seen play. My guess is bundesliga.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

? fair point. I mean players who SHOULD be depth but have been thrust into first team football due to an injury crisis of biblical proportions. Basically half of our lineup from the past few months. I’d keep Schar/Botman/Burn.. obviously the first two are more than depth and hopefully Botman can return to his form from last season. Longstaff I’d be okay with him going. Dubravka if anyone wants him. The full backs we (hopefully) won’t be using in the future. Krafth, Targett. Would also be nice to move on from Lascelles but I’m not sure what his timeline is injury wise (same goes for Wilson) Almiron will be hard to part with because I love his enthusiasm but I’d accept anything above 20-25m. Murphy could have some interest from newly promoted sides. Some of these will probably need part of their wages paid in order for them to move but if it isn’t too much I don’t see why not.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

There’s no chance either of them are sold unless it comes from them(which I doubt since they both seem to love the club and believe in the project). We are in need of relief under FFP but Bruno Tino and Isak are untouchable. I wouldn’t be surprised if we could raise 50-60m just getting rid of depth. Already got revenue streams coming by way of sponsorship deals and kit maker etc. I think people just want to play football manager in their minds and thinking in hypotheticals.

Would be interested in Branthwaite from Everton. Caught my eye playing for England last summer and looked good apart from the Isak goal when we played them. Wonder if he has a relegation release clause. Could be a future England CB.

He looks plenty strong to me. As far as his best role I do remember a few Chelsea fans saying he wanted to be a CM. I think we are so spoiled with Tino that we have collectively forgotten how hard it is for young players at this level. Miley hasn’t helped temper expectations either. Fullback is one of the hardest positions due to the amount of positional awareness it takes. You only earn that through matches played. I have little to no doubt that he will develop into a very good player. I can tell that he’s playing a bit nervous and that will only get better when he grows in confidence.

Schar has been good. Also not easy playing with 3 different CBs and 3 or 4 different RBs in less than 2 months haha.

I have a feeling it’s minor. Slight strain or maybe cramping. Hard to come in and play 75 mins when you’ve barely played that much in the last 3 months combined.

I wouldn’t mind keeping him as a depth player. Depends on the offer obviously and then it will be up to him if he wants to go. Can’t see anyone giving us more than 15m for him. At that price I’d prefer to keep him as he’s home grown and isn’t as bad as some people think. Just annoying in the final third. Always seems to be losing his balance or shanking the ball at the worst possible moment. He’s definitely not 100% fit either so there’s that.
  23. I didn’t see any wrestling. Saw young have his hand on dummy’s arm. Only way we get out of that is offside or the ball being unplayable/way over his head.
  24. Remember refreshing newsnow.com 1,000 times per transfer window praying for us to sign Matthew Upson ? I think we ended up settling on Oguchi “Gooch” Onyewu. God heard our cries and sent us the Saudis
  25. Titus Bramble ruined my teenage years. We’ve had some dark periods but bramble boumsong would do some of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen. There used to be a compilation of his own goals online ages ago. Made Harry Maguire look like Maldini.
