I feel like his shots come after a 15 min period where he’s been all over the pitch and his legs are dead haha.

Eddie Howe: watched the Man Utd game in hospital (Tindall)
Sufi replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
I’m curious how much of this injury bug is due to our style vs overtraining vs shit physio vs bad luck vs packed schedule/small squad. im sure every one of those plays some part. Idk if I’ve ever seen any team have this many injuries. I wonder what the team and training staffs philosophy is on rest and prevention etc. lots of teams in other sports incorporate flexibility and range of motion for injury prevention etc. -
Lol my bad. Edited

Had no clue we have such a weak schedule to end the season. Should be winning all of those and can also get a result against spurs and Utd palace Brentford Brighton burnley Sheffield Everton should all be 3 points. fulham I can see being a draw maybe. wouldn’t be surprised if we got something from spurs Am I crazy for thinking 5th isn’t impossible if spurs and united choke a bit and we pick up 18 points off the easy matches above and maybe 1-3 off the others. spurs play arsenal, liverpool, west ham and us. Of those only arsenal is a home match for them. Divided play liverpool arsenal Chelsea and us. we would have to be near perfect but stranger things have happened.

could be but it would make more sense if it’s appearances not starts. He’s been sitting on the bench while 3-4 youngsters have come in this season for a cameo at like 80th min to get their debuts.
-
His overlapping run when Gordon put him in and he nearly set up Isak for the 3-3 is exactly what we have been missing in a LB for years. If he gets better with his defensive positioning and IQ of when to go forward and when to be safe, he could have just as much potential as Tino. would be amazing if Chelsea gifted us our fullbacks for the next decade in an attempt to dodge FFP. Poetic justice. Especially if James stays crocked and Mattsen doesn’t work out for them.

May be a silly question but I was reading that there’s a chance the PL gets 5 champions league spots this season. Does that mean 6th and 7th will be in Europa? And 8th in conference? If a team already qualified for the CL wins the FA cup, what happens? id love us to save this cursed season by having Europa league football at st James’ next season. Would also help attract better players. Watching the Manchester United match closely today. Would be huge if they drop points here as we have 12 GD lead on them heading into the final 9 matches.

I watched him quite a bit when he was at Leicester. He isn’t flashy but he’s got great technique. Could fill in as a striker. Loves a 1-2 then opening his body up and tucking it away far post 60% of his goals are exactly that. Kind of like a right footed Almiron but he can finish consistently. He plays more narrow and isn’t quite as industrious as Miggy. Can’t remember the last time we had a winger with consistent end product.

I don’t know but it is a common thing when keepers are rushing out 1on1. They aim to make themselves as big as they can and the nutmeg finish is always there. I know of a few clinical finishers who definitely do it on purpose in those instances where the keeper has to run out and basically do the splits. Hard to tell if it was intentional here. Was half thinking he was going to put Gordon in for a tap in. Glad it went in

Can anyone message me with a site to watch full matches?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we play him on the right next season especially as Barnes emerges on the left. I think being on the right will make him more direct. Beat his man and get into a dangerous area where he can whip in a cross. He has this rashford-like approach when he’s on the left where he almost thinks he’s an inside forward or striker. Always cutting in instead of taking his man down the line. Same reason I like seeing Almiron on the left, stops that natural instinct of his to cut in and shoot every time.

hahahaha this is fantastic. Gotta be incorporated into a chant.

I’d negotiate a contract right away with a decent pay rise, tons of goal bonuses and very high minimum release clause. Like La Liga level minimum fee. 400m. A top class CF is really hard to find in todays market. We have one who isn’t even in his prime yet. There is no excuse for even thinking of selling him. I’d honestly turn down 150m Bruno Tino Isak are untouchable.
-
hopefully. Miley earned Howe’s trust rather quickly (albeit during an injury crisis at CM) Tino was in and out of the squad after some good performances. I don’t know what Howe does on Tuesday lol. Hard to read if he is more concerned with the structure and familiarity that burn brings. Just trusting him more. Would be harsh not to give Hall the start.

No excuse for him to not start next match. Looked good when he came on. Krafth over him is criminal. I honestly don’t want to see Burn at LB ever again. I love him but let’s use him as our 3/4th CB
-
Injury or no injury. He’s a headless chicken and all he offers is running. I roll my eyes whenever he’s on the ball. I have no idea how there isn’t a single player Eddie rates above him who can plug in at CM. He and Burn have been boiling my blood for weeks now.
-
Chelsea have almost exclusively been playing down our left and overlapping. Wonder why yet another world class manager has made a point of isolating and attacking Dan burn..
-
Shocking starting position from Dubravka. The shot wasn’t even tucked away. Burn needs to come off.
-
Hopefully he will return to form with more matches. He looked incredible last season
-
meh he could have made the wc squad. I know a few Dutch fans wanted to see him in it. Doesn’t help that they have Virgil and Ake
-
I thought it was burn?

this. It’s totally normal. In fact it’s done to see if there is a reaction or reflex. Not sure why people asking for the poor guy to be sacked for doing his job and testing range of motion lol

I agree. I don’t care how many injuries we’ve had…there’s no excuse for him to have played this many minutes. Especially considering the intensity he plays with, all the running and pressing. Not to mention he barely had any time off this summer as he was away with England. Surely Eddie could find a way to rest him for a few weeks. Irresponsible and selfish management. I don’t care if we had to play Almiron out left. Use willock out left last few matches. Play Tino as a winger. There were options to get the kid some kind of rest.

I’ve observed this in many other sports. A player who isn’t quick at all, but seems to think and react quicker than other players. Thus covering up for his lack in physical speed. Luka Doncic/Nikola Jokic come to mind. I think Bruno’s skill set will age very well. If your mind is quick and you can read it he game, then you already have a few steps on other players. Obviously not comparing him to the above basketball players as they are far more accomplished in their sport than Bruno is so far. The footballers who come to mind for me are Kroos and Modric. Can still impact a match but even though they have lost a few steps.
