  1. I’ve seen a lot of interviews with him. He loves Newcastle. His wife is comfortable here. They have a young child. They just bought a house. He’s on good wages. He has close friends at the club. Doesn’t strike me as someone to uproot all of that for 50-100k more in wages and playing in the CL when he can play in the CL here and get another wage bump when he earns it. Of all our players he’s the one I see who wants to be a legend here and nowhere else. Real Madrid are the only club in the world that could change that but I seriously doubt he is their main target. They have got Joselu as their main striker and have been playing Bellingham there. Endrick is too raw to be started there. I think they miss out on Mbappe (because PSG and the whole nation of France are basically offering him the world to stay) and go big game hunting for a striker this summer. Barcelona have no money lol. Can’t see him going to a top 4 side in the PL. City will likely get Paqueta. Arsenal just spent 100 on Rice. Liverpool isn’t getting him. I think it’s all clickbait. If a club does put up the 100m then they still have to convince him to leave a place he loves and his family love. Another point is that I could see him leaving a club like ours IF we just got lucky and finished 4th in an anomalous season as a flash in the pan performance from a club. That’s not what happened. We achieved that in season 2 of this massive project. Everyone involved with the club knows this is a long term project with backing from the richest owners in football. I’m sure Bruno recognizes that and it will entice him to stay. Winning here as apart of this project, being the foundational player in this squad would mean more than lifting 2-3 trophies a year at City. I think Enzo/Caicedo/Rice have numbed us to how much 100m is. For context those are all top 7 transfers in football history. Just a notch below Mbappe and Neymar who went around 200. Not to mention Enzo and Moises both haven’t looked the part for that price. Im not worried at all. Just hope we don’t make the same mistake with Isaks contract. No point putting a minimum fee release clause that’s basically market value for the player. A release clause for a player of this quality should be prohibitive. 200m for the privilege to negotiate with Isak and his agent. We are worrying because we have PTSD from the Ashley era. This is now a place players will leave reluctantly and with a large dose of FOMO on what’s to come next at this club.
  2. Up 5-0 and Saka is still out there. I know they are short of options but that kid plays way way too much. I’m honestly shocked he hasn’t had a serious injury yet. Off to the euros too after this season. Madness
  3. Does anyone remember that match where Jackson missed like 10 sitters and then got a hat trick starting in like the 80th minute or something? He’s hilarious to watch. I think it was against spurs when porro had a red and Ange was playing his back line at the half way line.
  4. Jackson needs to be investigated for gambling 😂 He was so damn good last season wtf happened
  5. Amazing talent. Remember him signing for Madrid as a teen and watching him play for them. Pure skill. He developed great vision and an almost De Bruyne-esque football IQ

I love his mentality. I also like the fact the club have let him have his way in terms of not weight training and not having treatment/massage etc. Wasnt expecting him to have so much depth and maturity. Didn’t really have an assumption based on his reputation but just for his age. It’s rare. Was interesting to hear him talking about different things he works on and staying after training. I think he would be next level on the RW. Beating players down the line and walking into the box or putting a cross in for Isak. I prefer Barnes on the left just due to his shooting/finishing. I’d prefer him doing the cutting in and the 1-2 through ball. I love that Neville brought up Pires as a right footed left winger who almost never went down the line and you couldn’t even picture him crossing on his left. Gordon isn’t that limited with his weak foot and I’ve seen him put a few crosses in on his left. Definitely not as predictable as Miggy on the other side who’s completely one footed and always cutting in. We’ve been very lucky with Isak, Bruno, Gordon, Tino. Hope to add Hall to that list next season. Would be nice to get in a cornerstone CB this summer and have one of those at each major position moving forward. exciting times!
  7. Watched Madueke at the euros and a few times this season and last. He’s one of the dumbest players I’ve ever seen. Incredibly talented but doesn’t seem to give a single fuck. Takes extra touches and loses the ball then just stands there. Horrible body language. Watching other clubs makes me really appreciate how much our players care. Even when we have a bad performance everyone is still giving 100% effort. Props to Eddie for creating that atmosphere
  8. Not all that worried about Chelsea. After they play Arsenal today they have to go play Villa next match. I see us being out of sight by the time those fixtures are played. Only thing I’m remotely concerned about is Man U somehow winning the cup through some VAR fuckery or whatever. We have a relatively easy schedule coming up and matches we should be winning.

Pretty sure this is a few weeks old but still very impressive
  10. sums up my feelings right now.
  11. Leverkusen tie it up 1-1 with Dortmund in the 97th min. They are still undefeated and can be the first club to do it in every competition.
  12. Trying to watch this Feyenoord match but it’s suspended due to fireworks. Wtf
  13. Never been so annoyed by a match that doesn’t involve NUFC. That 121’ winner. It’s bullshit. Fuck VAR. honestly if the lines are touching let it go.
  14. Not to mention Wilson. Isak has also had a groin issue all season. I love Watkins but I think Isak is a tier above as a footballer. As a striker it’s close.
  15. He was. Coventry signed him
  16. Why did they play 4 extra minutes? Lol
  17. I’m dying laughing. Wtfff
  18. What on earth is going on in this Man U match? Hahaha.
  19. Agreed. Maybe even the best. He’s an awful fullback in my opinion. They need to transition him into CM so he can show off his passing more. Easier said than done but it would really play to his strengths.
  20. Is it just me or is Harvey Elliot trash? Every match I watch him in he looks like a championship player in a champions league caliber team
  21. I want an Isak hat trick next match to put him right at 20 and tied with Palmer and Haaland. He’s scored a few braces for us unlucky to not get a hat trick yet
  22. Tbh none of these matches are that interesting. Going to watch Minteh in the cup final in 10 mins and then watch El Classico later on. Liverpool look like they are in for a tough match though
  23. Fulham would be an interesting club to do business with. I like Pahlinha and Bassey has really impressed me as a ball playing CB every time I’ve watched them.
  24. “Based on all U19 wingers across the top seven leagues in Europe, Minteh ranks top for all of the following (per 90): Most goals (10) Most assists (4) Most dribbles Most crosses Most shots Most expected goals Most expected assists Most progressive runs Most accelerations Most touches in the box Most attacking actions Highest defensive duel %“ Yeah I wouldn’t sell him for FFP reasons. Loan him out to a club in England next season if we can’t find him playing time here. Ideally we sell one of Murphy or Almiron and he can have a shot next season depending how pre season goes and if we plan on signing a RW.
