Would be an improvement over Longstaff but I kind of prefer letting Miley develop and maybe signing someone from another league who can free up Bruno. Bruno, Joe, Tonali Miley, Longstaff, (new player), Anderson/Willock who can fill in on the left and in CM. Not a bad group of CM. I’d like a proper strong holding mid with some distribution skills if we bring someone in.

I’ve also noticed that having 5 at the back allows Gordon and Barnes to play slightly more narrow, almost as LF and RF much better support for Isak. They aren’t relied upon just for width but they can come inside due to the overlap us shifting to 3 CBs and 2 wingbacks when in possession. It’s brilliant and I can’t imagine how well Trippier and Tino would fit into this system.

I think we aren’t finding another forward like him. Full stop. I wouldn’t even take 150m for him. He’s a generational talent. I hate throwing that word around but I think he’s transformative. Top 3 strikers in the world for me (but I’m biased as a Newcastle supporter and as an East African. We hardly produce footballers. I think the last one from east Africa was Wanyama lol

I wouldn’t be surprised if Murphy plays like prime Cafu today. I don’t actually hate this lineup that much. Just wish Burn would stay CB and we shift Krafth to LB. Lesser of two evils imo

I’m guessing krafth left Murphy right. Burn has been good at CB and Murphy looked okay on the right a few weeks ago.

The irony is I’m guessing the reason the ref didn’t have a look at it is because the refs in the CL probably got a warning after our match with PSG in these situations they would have been told to focus on conviction and not be talked into a review.

Amazing that they are still sour over the Gordon goal. Saw a few of them celebrating the absurd psg decision against us. I hope the points we took off them end up being the reason they don’t win the league. Can’t stand arteta and their fans seem equally childish. Saka sticking his leg out when he could have been past the keeper. On top of that he could have stood back up, Bayern defenders didn’t even go for the ball ?.

I’m not 100% sure but it would only make sense if there’s some kind of club option for an extension.
