  1. I love to see Liverpool have shit go against them but it’s also poetic to see Arsenals time wasting punished . Win Win really
  2. There is so much talent around Europe at much more affordable prices Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and France have leagues with plenty of quality. IMO it will be a mistake to blow our wad on premier league players
  3. Have to respectfully disagree, he’s in a purple patch at the moment but his overall body of work is as a lower premier league player and we need to improve. We don’t need bodies for the sake of bodies, we need quality.
  4. As long as we win it You can win the rest of your games to get into Europe ?
  5. Anyone remember Arteta whingeing about us time wasting?
  6. Arsenal look rattled Cue a counter attack and 3-1 Edit: Im watching on a delay obviously
  7. Villa are very similar to us in a way that they are seeing the effects of going from a donkey who’s praised up in the media by their mates to a competent and tactically astute coach. Hopefully Kamara doesn’t recover for this game, as I think he’s a cracking player who I’m a bit disappointed we didn’t get here. When him and Luiz are together as a double pivot it gives them a great base to build from and makes them hard to beat. Also hope Bailey is out as he gives them some real pace which could cause us a lot of problems. They still have a lot of athletes like Watkins and Ramsey and this will be a physical test more in terms of speed and stamina as opposed to the last couple which were more size and strength. With a full week of training to prepare despite thinking they are a good well coached side I think we can beat these as I’d take Bruno and Isak over anything they have and I hope that quality can make a difference for us.
  8. Get in was great to beat those cheating wankers and the shocking ref and VAR. Looking forward to the scruffy hairdresser crying in his interview and hope the lass commentator on my stream doesn’t let Brentford losing ruin her night. Bruno again stepping up big style and dominating the game in the second half with Big Joe doing the destroyer role to allow him to do it. Regardless of the ref and Brentford’s dirty play we were poor in the first half and the change in formation really helped as Wilson’s physical approach put more pressure on their centre backs and allowed Isak to drop deeper and cause chaos. Great goal as well. defensively we were very suspect in the first half, their first penalty was a comedy of errors and it took us till the second half to deal with their physical approach. Great changes from Eddie at half time and a great win 5 wins a row and a battle of the form teams next Saturday with a full week to work .
  9. I think Rice was the class of their team but Paqueta is definitely a good player particularly in the first half when he got further forward. Still think he would have flourished here big style.
  10. I think this will be another hard match. Brentford’s midfield 3 are all good players and Toney and Mbeumo will cause anyone problems. I think at times vs West Ham we struggled a little defensively vs their physical style and Brentford are more physical. Saying that when they played us at SJP they were very open and they don’t have a Declan Rice to cover our pacy attacks so we can definitely cause them all sorts of problems. First goal is huge because if they have to press up we can get pick them apart but they could also sit back and counter us well. Fingers crossed it goes our way and we keep our run going

    Sean Longstaff

Rice, it would have been 10 without him Longstaff played well as well. Does a great job had technical limitations probably can be improved upon but no new player is just walking into our team with the way Longstaff is playing.
  12. Do you not think Thuram is better as an 8?
  13. Good shout on Cherki as he’s a player, though I have the same concern regarding work rate. I was a huge HBA fan so love those effortless sort of creative types like him.
  14. This summer is going to be huge for us and whatever level of European competition we get in I think we need to strengthen in 6 areas: 1) The first key area for strengthening the first team depends on where you play Bruno. Longstaff has done a great job but to improve we need someone in that RCM role with a similar physicality but who is technically superior and can allow us to create more. Bruno could play there but then you’d have to replace him in the 6 role. If we go the way of signing an 8 Milenkovic-Savic of Lazio would be an ideal signing with all the physical gifts as well as being technically excellent. If we go looking for a 6 Rice is most of our dream signing for this but I just don’t think he’s a realistic target even if we get champions league. I had a favourite for this position a player called Nicolas Seiwald an Austrian player from RB Salzburg but unfortunately they’ve swapped him to RB Leipzig so he won’t be on the market again for a bit. So that leads to the next choice the highly rated Ugarte from Sporting, who has the passing ability and defensive nous to do a decent Bruno impression. 2) The second is a left back BDB has done admirably but is limited going forward and Targett is solid if unspectacular so we could use an upgrade. Kieran Tierney has been linked and he’s a great player if injury prone, personally I’d like us to look at Maehle from Atalanta who could be a bit like what Santon was for us but better. 3) Now it’s more about options rather than improving the first 11. First we need someone who can play as a striker but also contribute out wide. Rumours are Ekitike will be available but though he is talented I wouldn’t touch with a barge poll as long as he’s with his agent as they give off Pogba/Raiola vibes. For me a simple option is to go back to last year’s list and get Joao Pedro (even if part of me thinks he will be a midfielder long term) 4) The next one is a specialist wide player and with Isak up top we would benefit IMO from a wide player who’s going to get beyond him and score goals. The dream signing would be Diaby from Leverkusen but again how realistic it is I don’t know. Domestic options who could flourish would be Harvey Barnes and Jared Bowen especially if either of their teams go down. Doku of Rennes could be a cheaper continental option. 5) The next one is a replacement for Lascelles as a back up RCB and someone to challenge Schar. Schar is so important to us with his quality on the ball and his ability to step up and intercept the ball to nullify attacks. There are 2 players who I think could do well here Todibo from Nice and Lacroix from Wolfsburg. Both good on the ball can step up and as a bonus have a bit more pace. Either could be great long term partners for Sven. 6) Finally I think we need a long term DM to give us more options we have been linked with Varela from Boca but there seems to be vultures circling there. Other options on the more physical side of things could be Diarra from Strasbourg or Lopy from Reims.
  15. Agree with this but think they should go to the system used in the champions league where it’s fully automated with a hawk eye type system. The current system is to easy to be manipulated by our dodgy officials for the likes of Man Reds and Liverpool

Jobi Mcanuff that superstar said he didn’t mean it If Trent played that ball they’d have been cuming in their pants

    Dan Burn

Hopefully he can get a good rest and doesn’t have to do anything physical before Saturday.
  18. Another great win, even though it was by a bigger margin it didn’t feel as dominant as Sunday but to get back to back wins is great. Bruno was MOTM for me again just running the show again and Soucek failed to put any pressure on him like Mctominay on Sunday. Longstaff put his usual shift and Big Joe got 2 goals though being honest I think he looked rusty at times. Willock came on and continued his brilliant form as well. Defensively I think Bowen gave Burn a hard time and Pope looked a little shaky by his high standards. Schar was defensively excellent with some key interceptions and if TAA had played that ball for the second Jamie Redknapp would have jacked it over it in the sky studio. Big Sven had a pretty solid game but Zouma was his man on the corner and he tried a few high risk passes which didn’t come off but it’s more a sign of how good he has been and how high his standards are that I’m even mentioning that. Tripps was top notch again, he’s like a metronome just linking the play up so well and he always seems to be available and always in the right place. Out wide it’s great to see Maxi looking such a threat, hopefully he keeps it up and more goals and assists will come. Murphy did his job well and pressed great for the third goal. Gordon worked great defensively when he came on. Now to the cream of our performance the forwards. Wilson looked back to his pre World Cup self with a performance leading the line well, holding up the ball, linking up play and of course 2 goals. I really feel for him though as he had a great game but then Isak comes on and just exudes class from the first minute and shows why he’s a cut above with his touches and movements. Everything is coming up roses, Brentford will be a battle on Saturday hopefully we have more in the tank if the 2 of us. Their open style might suit our game

    Jacob Murphy

Yeah it could be that, doesn’t necessarily mean he’s stupid just it’s a mental issue in his play that’s affecting his game.

    Jacob Murphy

Yeah he’s been highly frustrating and personally think he should have been moved on. I remember watching him play for Norwich against us and I thought he could go to the top but since he’s signed for us he’s just seemed to lack the brain to make use of his physical gifts. Saying that credit where it’s due he’s put together 2 games where he’s been better than a 6. Hopefully he can keep it up till seasons end.

    Jacob Murphy

I’m one of his biggest critics but he’s probably had his best 2 games in his career here. If he turns it round it would make all the other turnarounds pale in comparison
  22. What a great win love beating these horrible bastards and can’t wait to watch bald Juergen cry Our midfield was so dominant with Mctominays fouling unable to knock Bruno out of his rhythm. Willock might need to change his boots but he’s playing as well as anybody generally and Longstaff put in another tireless shift. Clearly we knew their deeper midfielders couldn’t handle pressure and put them under constantly. Isak continually shows just how good he is, watch what he does in the build up to our first sheer class. I slate Murphy but credit where it’s due he had a class game today and he may make me eat my words if he keeps it up, also great to see Maxi get an unorthodox assist for his style, he can cause us problems position wise but he’s such a threat going forward and keeps his fullback pushed back. Defensively we were rock solid, even if I did worry about Burn vs Antony early on but he grew into the game. Botman and Schar looked much more solid and Trippier showed his class on the ball. Pope looked better than he has even if he did have a little moment on the ball at 1-0 Good to see Wilson score as well, hopefully he is over what has been ailing him and can give us real options going forward.

    Scott McTominay

Lost the ball in the build up to our goal showed exactly what I thought he was today, hard working donkey
  24. Could be like Roeder where he’s better at academy level than the first team

    Scott McTominay

What I think of when it comes to Mctominay is when Casemiro got suspended did anyone think ‘oh no we Mctominay will be playing against us’? Or did we all go get in we might be playing McFred ?
