  1. Gotta win this one. An early goal for us and their fans will turn. A dominant display would be awesome, win this and against Athletic Club sets us up nicely for the Brentford game.
  2. It is important to consider the context; Shearer grew up during a period when Liverpool was unequivocally the most prominent club in England. They literally dominated that era, late 70s to mid 80's Had he grown up in the 1990s or 2000s, he would likely have favored Manchester United. Nothing wrong with that, also there is no context or balance on social media. Its a cesspit of lies, propaganda, bickering, baiting, goading, and provoking. “Other than this great football club (Newcastle), probably Liverpool,” Shearer said. “I went to the Kop when I was a young boy to watch an FA Cup game. But I was more than happy with my choice of being here at Newcastle and Blackburn.”

The unfit Isak, who would be sulking about not getting his move? You can bet he would have felt his groin in the 1st 10 mins of him pulling a Newcastle top on.

If it wasn't for PSR, I'd totally be making a petition to send Milan another 30 million, wow just wow. How good is this lad. In the famous words of TCD :
  5. Win our next two games and we about par.
  6. Created 2 chances on a plate for Murphy and Bruno. Should realistically have 2 assists today. Horrible misses. Especially the Bruno one.
  7. Isak took a dump on what this club means to us....me. I know he's a pro and doesn't have any connections here, but what he did this summer we can't just forget that, nor forgive. You don't stop playing or training, you dont go on strike. Yes, maybe some promises were made and broken, I dunno, it's all just rumors. But you don't diss the fans who loved you, supported you, and chanted your name, by refusing to represent our Club. The club you are contracted to and paying your wages. We all knew he'd leave for a bigger club eventually, and that was cool, most of us fans were fine with that and understood that. But what he did to the club I love over the summer? That's just awful, despicable and disrespectful. He's got a six-year contract at Liverpool, and they say he's making 300k a week so he and his family are set for life regardless he does well or not for them. Therefore I want him to spend most of his time there on the treatment table. I am very bitter about how he acted to my beloved Newcastle over the summer. Very bitter.
  8. I'm not sure either, especially with Ekitike playing so well. It'll be interesting to see how Slot handles this. Apparently, Salah just stormed off down the tunnel at full time. Wissa and Nick outscore him this season, and my hate watch is complete.
  9. Ekitike seems way better than Isak, doesn't he? People keep saying he'll get his form back, but man, he's been awful so far. AWFUL.
  10. Frankfurt defending is shocking
  11. Get in. Frankfurt score. Beautiful goal too
  12. Anyone got a link to Hope's article?

Different profile. He won't be on the defenders shoulder, but he'll drop back to help with the build-up. Check out his stats from Germany; he rarely gets in behind. He's all about quick passes, linking up, and playing with his back to the goal. That's why we're thinking of changing our style.
  14. This is mostly for tourist fans. Good picture opportunity for them. We could do the same with Shola 😄
  15. Isak won't strike unless Liverpool promises him they'll deliver. He went to crazy lengths. He wouldn't do that unless Liverpool was egging him on, saying they'd come through. They totally had to follow through. He did his bit, they had to do theirs. If they didn't tell him to strike, maybe he signs a new contract and is still at Newcastle.
  16. So, Liverpool basically told Isak to go on strike so they could get him for less than he's worth. He does it, and then Liverpool's like, "Nah, we don't need you anymore, Ekitike's doing great." Best you try to fix things with Newcastle or find another team, yeah? Isak wouldn't have gone on strike unless Liverpool told him to and promised him they'd get it done. Thats fairly obvious.
  17. Yeah, they did. I don't really like Romano, but he was right. No player goes on strike without a backup plan. In Isak's case, it was Liverpool. So they had to go for him. Otherwise, they would've screwed up his career, basically.
  18. They had to let him go because of age and the contract situation. If they werent extending his contract on better wages then he had to be sold. Isak was a bit of a splurge, and once they got Ekitike, they should've stopped chasing Isak. But, once he went on strike they had to go through with it. They should've gone for Guehi, a DM/CM, a RW, and a backup striker. Their team would've been way more balanced. They probably need to drop another 300 million to sort their team out now with Salah and VVD leaving soon. Once you're down that rabbit hole, it's tough to get out without just throwing money at it. Just look at Man Utd/Chelsea etc Arteta has had to spend a billion pounds just to get Arsenal where they are now.
  19. The goals will come, we're making chances. We just on a dry spell and the team is adjusting to Nick. Top 5 is 65 points minimum. We will be there about I'm sure. 60 points is the least Howe has had in a full season for us.
