  1. I think Gakpo took it with his hand though, didn't he? Feels like Liverpool will score very soon..
  2. Unfortunate that Watkins lacks confidence infront of goal lately.
  3. Nah lets get top 3. Leeds can overtake Everton for us!
  4. Apparently clear professional fouls aren't yellow anymore.
  5. Why did Watkins take it man.. He has 4 goals in 9 pens, and is out of scoring form.
  6. It would be funny if Brentford somehow manages to get into Europe with Marco Silva nominated for manager of the season over him. Brentford has the lowest net spent over 5 years and the lowest wage bill in the league.
  7. I'm from Norway, everyone calls Manchester United "United" here because a large majority supports either Liverpool or Manchester United. Sorry, bad habit. Need to get used to calling them Manchester United.
  8. We say this almost every season, don't we? What if for example Arsenal and Manchester United drop down again. I don't expect every "big 6" team to perform well every season. Who expected Chelsea and Liverpool to drop down this season? Unexpected things happens. Last season we could've been saying "but next season Arsenal and Man United will get stronger", which they did, but yet we managed top 4. I do think that top 4 will be more difficult because we will play in Europe aswell though, I agree on that part.
  9. He's saying that "Liverpool and Chelsea will wake up" as an argument for next season being so much harder to get top 4. They might wake up, but then some other teams might go to sleep aswell. Did Simon Jordan think before the season that Liverpool and Chelsea would perform like they have this season? Next year it might be one or two of the other "big 6" performing like that. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all had their unexpected downfalls the last 10 years. Every season the argument is made that "but next season every team will perform"! The last 5 years the average requirement for top 4 has been 68 points, this season it might be 71 points! 71 points for 5th place would be the highest in 6 years. This season might actually prove to be more difficult to make top 4 than usual, contrary to the claims that it has been easier due to certain teams underperforming.
  10. I think both will start, but crazily enough I would actually rather have Tripps miss the game than Joelinton. Atleast we have right backs to step in, even if they are not great ones. Having to play players out of position in the midfield is even more scary to me.
  11. Opponents are feeling sorry for our corners. Also we need to learn from Undav! I hope Botman is studying that header!
  12. 1 goal and 1 assist in the 4-4 game against Arsenal. Also had a goal disallowed that should've stood. He was in pretty good form at the time. I think he scored more hat tricks than just that one.
  13. I kinda hope that Leeds and Everton wins still. I think it would be pretty demoralizing for Leicester.
  14. I agree that Willock has some mad potensial! His finishing has been pretty poor this season, but I'm sure he will improve on that. I think Joelinton will be an important player on the left in the next season aswell, definetly not the most urgent position to make a change. His work rate is enourmous, and he has improved a lot offensively and technically aswell. Liverpool has been linked him, but I don't think that he will leave. He's only 26, so he could also improve even more. We might see him feature for Brazil in the future, who knows. I do agree on the names that you mentioned in the last sentence, although Longstaff has been offering very good work rate too which has helped us a lot this season. Not the most technical of midfielders however. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-told-newcastle-hero-joelinton-26826670 https://www.sambafoot.com/news/former-liverpool-striker-sees-joelinton-as-a-key-player-for-newcastle-in-the-next-champions-league
  15. Both of his goals against Chelsea was incredible. On another note, Wilson has 1 goal every 100th minute on the pitch! That average is only beaten by Haaland (every 74th minute) amongst the top 25 goalscorers in the PL this season! Insane.
  16. Honestly it doesn't seem like ASM is in Howes long term plans. He's usually on the bench and injuries are holding him back. Joelinton is going to be a key player, not a backup. Many would say that he's our player of the season. He's been class at the left wing before the Longstaff injury, and I think that's where he will play. Almiron is great, but a bit inconsistent. Wouldn't mind a new starter on the right wing, but we probably can't have it all in the summer, so we will see about that. Schär has been absolutely brilliant, but we do lack a bit of pace at the back, so another CB could actually be okay.
  17. Haha. Trippier actually admitted that the set plays hasn't been great lately after the match yesterday. Maybe he's in here.
  18. I really hope Bruno is not injured.. Didn't he look injured at the end? Imagine if we have to play without all 3 regular midfielders. We will only have Joe and Anderson left in that case. Joe limping aswell?
  19. Some people choose to not celebrate against their old club, Dan Burn couldn't give a shit about that. Love it!
  20. After suggesting Longstaff on the bench for some time and realising how stupid that was, I will not dare to complain about lineup decisions anymore.
  21. I just can't get myself to believe that it's going to happen. Somehow I take it for granted that it will be decided on the final day. But I'm just saying that because some people think a draw is the same as a loss, but the 1p can matter a lot too.
  22. I actually think a draw could help us! If we ship some goals past Leicester while Liverpool win by just 1 goal against Villa, 1p here could mean that all we need is a draw at the Bridge. Sure, Liverpool will beat Southampton, but I'm not sure if they will win by 6+ goals. Southampton probably don't want to end the seasong getting humiliated on their home ground, even if they don't have anything to play for. It's the last game, so why not give a little bit of a fight. I actually think Southampton could be more difficult for Liverpool than that embarrasing Leicester game. Not saying they would ever get a point, but maybe it wont be as ugly as we would expect. Soton have lost by more than 3 goals just once all season, and that was a 4-0 defeat away from home against Man City. Now if Liverpool manage to beat Villa by a margin then surely that would be scary.
  23. He bets when he wants He bets when he wants Ivan Toney He bets when he wants
  24. That could take 2-3 years.. https://www.wruf.com/headlines/2023/02/09/manchester-city-update-investigation-will-take-two-to-four-years-to-complete/
  25. I wish we just bought a CM squad player in january. Didn't necessarily need to be an expensive starter. We were linked to McTominay and some people were upset about it. I think we could've found someone for around £20 mill which could've helped us a lot in the case of injuries.
