I do remember either Reuben or Ghodoussi tweeting that Emenalo was never even considered.

There wasn’t a place for her or Mehrdad anymore. We’ve now built a corporate/football structure with extremely experienced, competent people in a variety of roles. Add to this their inability for their capital investment to keep up with growth and it becomes clear that their continued presence wasn't viable. it would have muddied the hierarchical chain, confused lines of communication, slowed down business/football decisions. Having said that we now need a conduit between PIF and things on the ground in Newcastle. Part of how this club is going to succeed is going to rely heavily on good succession planning. The Ashworth-Mitchell switchover was a bit gory but I think we’ve got the better candidate for where we want to go.

Not seen Isak in any recent pics -
I expect them to. Schedules aren’t getting easier, players league wide are getting ran into the ground. All clubs suffered last season from regular 100 min games and I don’t expect any different until the league institutes change regarding player welfare. They really struggled against Olympiakos in the latter stages of last season’s conference league. They’re going in to the CL now with largely the same squad so they’ve got to step up massively. We clearly didn’t have the squad but were genuinely decimated by injuries. There were large periods of the season where players had nothing in the tank before the first half ended. We were going into CL games with a bench full of u18/u-23 players, 3 keepers and Matt Ritchie. Even for the new season we’re without Botman and Lascelles until Dec-Jan, Miley for the first month or two and Tonali until the start of September. Bunce needs to earn his money.

I’m sure it was posted a few days ago that City weren’t interested. Anyway, probably means Bruno stays here.

Yeah they’ve downgraded and we really need to take advantage of their little European sojourn just as they did us last season. If they think they suffered bad with injuries last term they’re really gonna’ know about it this time. The schedule is brutal when you’re in the CL. Not just the extra game but it’s that you’re playing the highest quality opposition every time. You ALWAYS have to play your best team and that team ALWAYS has to be at its best. Then when you’ve exhausted yourself doing that you have to play a PL team who’s gonna’ be right in your face, then you get drawn to City in the cup where you have to be at your best again. It’s unrelenting, and Villa are gonna’ find that out.

Him being slow is not what I’ve heard or seen myself. He even describes himself as quick.

Might be an idea and could encourage Burnley to knock the fee down a bit. We need to get rid of Dubravka first I think. Atm Odysseas seems to be no2. They might be really unwilling to do a deal now if they are selling Muric though. Parker might want his own gk though and I know he likes Travers when he was at Bournemouth so maybe he’d go in for him and let Trafford go.

It’s Bland, I’ll take bullshit for 500 Alex

I was so proud to have her representing us. She’s stood up and fought for what she believed in and she wears her emotions on her sleeve. Truly one of the most important people in this club’s history.

Is this how it feels to support a professional football club? -

We used to have wheelie bins and paddling pools. I never thought I’d see this day.

He subsequently joined the Premier League as its head of elite performance, supporting all clubs in the development of performance and medical standards, including multi-club projects such as league-wide injury surveillance and monitoring. James oversaw a modern, multi-faceted performance department, with the core objective of enabling high performing athletic players to play high intensity football over consecutive games while maintaining a low injury record. holy shit, no injuries and we win the lot

Apparently we’ll be playing Burnley in a behind closed doors game. Don’t know when like. Prob similar to last time when we split the games up between different XI’s. Playing Leeds also at the German training camp. -
Imo if we stay clear of injuries this season, get a class RCB and class RF in then we can challenge for top 3. I might end up looking foolish in a years time but we have the tools and with a reduced schedule there is a massive opportunity.
