Group C: 1. England, 2. Denmark, 3. Slovenia (Q), 4. Serbia

Foden fucks off home, comes back and still starts over a fully committed Gordon despite stinking out every game of the tournament. -
No they will be going spare at this. It’s Mag-Saudi corruption brazenly out in the open. Bribes all owa the place man. Why haven’t the government and the king made a joint statement decrying this? It’d have been like Christmas Eve for them last night dreaming of a points deduction for us. But once again the spawny Mag comes up smelling of roses.

Yeah wouldn’t surprise if Wilson still went. It’s time.
-
Well, hopefully he never plays us.

So does this put an end to Mamardashvili or Trafford? Pretty underwhelming. Can’t wait for the nufctv interview where both parties are trying to pretend like nothing dodgy whatsoever is going on.

Did he move? My bad. Turns out he was only on loan at Forest. Shows how much I pay attention.

Had a feeling it’d be a gk but thought it would be Henderson. Might as well just keep hold of Dubravka. They paid just under £8m for Vlachodimos last year. Hope we don’t give them £35m for him.

Possibly DCL also. Honestly it’s been one of the craziest 48 hours I can remember. We better not have to go through this every year. -

I assume the “crazy shit flying about” that Luke is talking about refers to the Gordon/Isak stuff. -

How can it be that we “might” have to do business tomorrow. We know what our shortfall is. Either we do have to do business to make up that shortfall or we’re ok.

No it won’t be a big gun. Why would we sell Minteh for £33m then Isak or Gordon for £80-£125m when we only need £30m-£40m? Just sell Longstaff to Leeds for £15m if we need some extra. -

Yeah, City have just rafts of talent, a conveyor belt of £20m+ youngsters who’ll see them (cough) clear of FFP issues forever. That’s where we want to be. Look at Palmer, very very good but they let him go. If that was us we’d be beside ourselves but they’re used to it and we probably will also have to get used to it. -

Yeah definitely. We’ve had a few windows of spending with next to no outgoings, certainly not enough significant outgoings. A reckoning and rebalancing was inevitable. We had no saleable assets due to the deadwood Ashley/Bruce left us. We’re having to build up from scratch, a cadre of talent that will help propel the club closer to the ones it aspires to emulate. -

Tbh I don’t know. £33m has come into the club account. Idk if we were in the red then presumably this money will now cover those losses, or if this money can go towards new signings. Someone smarter than me will know. -

Probably in the future when this becomes the norm, filling up our academy with players who are there solely to make us a profit with no actual view of them playing for us, then it won’t be so gut wrenching. This isn’t the norm for us, we’re not used to it. We get good players and hold onto them like precious diamonds. You sign for us, you’re one of us. This just feels cold and alien. £33m is a very good price. We’ve made back more than 5x what we paid for him. I can stomach watching him tear it up at Brighton if bring in the 2-3 we need to push on. Anyway I hate this, I hate football and I hate June. July comes around and we’re going for it. -
Oh well, if Forest won’t sign Minteh and Anderson then it’s a points deduction for us because neither Gordon or Isak are leaving. We’ll just have to do the best we can starting behind everyone else.

Look at all the other clubs. I don’t know which ones may be in breach but from what I can see no other PL club is right now hawking around their best players. Or there are no reports of it. Why is it just Newcastle? Is there truth in it? Is it some sort of tactic from the club for reasons only known to themselves? Are we just the easiest club to get clicks from?

Fabian Schar my lord! Fabian Schar! Come on Fabi! -
Where has he said it, ‘cause I can’t find it on his Twitter?
-
Well whatever, I just don’t believe we’ve let it come to a point where we’re having to beg clubs to take Gordon and Isak off us. If we have then I’d then have serious misgivings about this ownership.
