Yes. Injury-prone, fragile players pick up more injuries - all sorts of injuries - than resilient ones.
-
Why do people say things like “it can’t be that bad” given the only information we have for sure is: he went off with an injury on international duty and is now going to see a specialist to assess the extent of the damage?
-
Hope's walked it back now. Going for scans on his knee tomorrow apparently. edit - I wrote this as a cretinous and pointless wind-up attempt but have just checked Hope's Twitter and he actually is being sent for a scan tomorrow. Class.
-
Huge pressure on him now given Wissa looks like he'll be out for a while.

We were crying out for #guile. We had a serious lack of #guile in the squad. Even Isak is somewhat lacking in #guile. Wissa and Woltemade have lots of #guile so I’m pretty pleased now.

This was a vile act of trolling and I’d like to apologise.

“potential administrative hold ups” according to ‘Crooky’ on TalkSport just now. wtf
-
Nicassel? What accent are you going for there?

Theres really no need to be morally consistent across the Wissa and Isak situations. It’s football - you’re supposed to be partisan. Wissa is good because his interests coincide with the interests of Newcastle. Isak’s a verminous piece of shit because his wishes are detrimental to our interests. It’s fine.

Disgusting behaviour from Brentford really. Poor kid just wants his dream move to a big club, like he was promised.
-
Perhaps a late Bayern intervention?

Very satisfying name to scream.
-
You are an utter fanny.

Haydyn's "point" (to the extent that you can call it that) was that Downie was stupid for invoking Newcastle's history with French African players because Wissa is not, in fact, a French African player. But he literally is a French African player by any conceivable definition. It was an attempt at being clever without the cleverness. No big deal!
-
This is a mind-numbing conversation on every level but Yoanne Wissa is a French African player, and therefore pointing out that the DRC was a colonial possession of Belgium is not in any way relevant. Cheers.
-
A lot of our fans have backed themselves into a corner with their hysterical reaction to Isak, so now have to half-heartedly pretend to be really mad at Wissa when in reality they don't give a shit and will welcome him with open arms.
-
We still have so little guile going forward. Kick and run merchants like Elanga/Gordon/Murphy are never going to break a team down. Ramsey won't help on that front either.
-
A ball carrying central midfielder who can also play on the left, hasn’t been in good form for two years, and is injury prone. Just what we were crying out for. Strengthening Villa’s position is just a bonus.
-
Has Wissa acted any better?

Not interested in joining Liverpool lads, SWITCH ON MAN!

The complete about face on here because he came across as a Really Nice Lad was inevitable
