  1. Spinning Krafth signing an extension as an “upgrade” is good going.
  2. You said she had engaged in hate speech. This is false. What she said is legally protected speech. There’s no getting around that. You said she had referred to “all transgender people as groomers”. This is false. You made that up because you’re not confident of the ground you’re arguing on. Premier League clubs, and the Premier League itself, should not be in the business of extrajudicial policing of online speech. They should not be in the business of snooping on fans in real life because they suspect they’ve said problematic things on the internet. You no doubt hold lots of perfectly legal opinions that lots of other people find sincerely offensive. You shouldn’t be banned from St James’ Park as a result.
  3. At no point did she express “all trans people are predatory paedophiles”. It’s simply inaccurate to claim that is “precisely what she expressed”. You invented that to bolster your argument. These discussions are basically pointless when one side keeps engaging in rhetorical sleights of hand like that.
  4. But that’s not the equivalent of what she actually expressed. Let’s stay in the realm of reality. Which of her tweets do you think fall foul of hate speech legislation?
  5. Which of those tweets do you believe fall foul of hate speech legislation in this country?
  6. Hate speech is a legal term in this country, and I don’t think the things she tweeted come close to meeting that definition. While I empathise with the instinct to say “who cares, she’s prejudiced in my opinion”, I don’t really want NUFC or the Premier League to engage in extrajudicial policing of what political opinions can and can’t be publicly expressed by fans. Or if they are going to engage in extrajudicial policing of speech, I’d like them to be extremely transparent about it in terms of what can and can’t be expressed. I’m sure I hold a number of views that are contrary to the values of our owners.
  7. His dad has spent tens of thousands of pounds on private coaching sessions for him and his brother throughout their childhood. Probably goes some way to explaining how he managed to come through our academy unscathed.

    Joelinton

I’d be astonished if anyone in Europe offered him more than what we will. He’ll either stay or go to the desert.

    Jeff Hendrick

I lol’d just reading the URL.
  10. I can’t think of a way to explain to you, without being incredibly patronising, why being 27 is very different to being 30 in the context of football transfers.
  11. You can see the logic with a Bruno sale (brought in at what looks like a bargain price, 27 this year and unlikely to ever command more than what he could bring in this summer), but a sale of Botman or Isak would truly be in “what’s the point of it all?” territory. Not that I think it’s likely mind.
  12. You realise the Transfermarkt figures are just the best guess of some German lads? They don’t know any more than us about what transfer fees are actually paid, what weekly wages of players are, or what their ‘market value’ is.

To what end? The season’s a write off, no point further stretching our FFP position with deals to cover 6 week injuries.
  14. £50m+ on a 26 year old back up striker would obviously be insane, especially given our FFP restrictions. The more I think about it the more it’s obviously just Edwards bollocks.
  15. Solanke was a punchline until about two months ago. Would feel a long way from the Bruno/Botman/Isak transfer approach that I assumed was going to be our model going forward.
  16. So funny that they did basically everything in their power to make that picture happen.
  17. He’s the quintessential mackem hero. The true born heir to “Catts” and “Bally”.
  18. Two right foot crosses from Miggy in 30 seconds. Can’t believe what I’m seeing.
  19. Average age of our away end is about 60 by the looks of it.
  20. Bruno’s technique is absolutely honking whenever a ball needs to go more than 15 yards.
  21. We do actually have to make a big FFP profit at some point, and there are very few potential candidates when you look through the squad. Feels inevitable if a serious offer comes in.
  22. Fulham is the dream destination for geriatric Brazilians who want to live in London while operating in a zero-pressure environment. Doubt he would have any interest in coming here over there.
  23. It’s based mostly on divvies who want to appear knowledgeable by saying things like “His Excellency does not accept second best!”.
  24. Doesn’t this literally only apply to Hall (who is still ultimately on loan)? I don’t think our business was great but that’s because we didn’t prioritise a defensive midfielder or right sided attacker.
  25. It is very weird to just post a tweet of a mackem on a wind up. Any more from RTG you’d like to draw our attention to?
