  1. Barnes an absolute horror show anywhere outside the final third.
  2. The hardcore anti-Howe element amongst our (online) fanbase are such low-IQ creeps. They make my skin crawl.
  3. Same with him declaring the Euros a failure in that ITV interview. He’s right obviously but the lads who actually played every/most minutes and got to the final probably won’t appreciate it.
  4. One of the darkest days in the history of this club.

They might be shitting themselves over having to embed two new centre backs straight into a faltering team and what it could mean for Premier League survival.
  6. Too emotional and won’t be able to talk to referees with the tone required to ever tip things in our balance. Bad move.

Does he? He’s being relayed extremely commercially sensitive information in almost real time? What would the incentive be for his source to do that?

Perhaps a dignified period of silence is the best course of action for you at this point?

Will genuinely be astonished if this happens - feels like another instance of us being used to drum up interest from elsewhere. Suspect Guehi would rather stay another year at Palace in the assumption that another good season + establishing himself as an England regular would make a ‘bigger’ move likely.

“why have you just thrown your phone at a wall babe?” ”this guy on a football forum thinks a prospective transfer is less good than I do “

I meant us. 24 and has every reason to believe he’ll be an England regular from here on out. When’s the last time we even came close to a transfer like that? You'd have to go back to Shearer, and we were better then (relative to the rest of the league) and there was the local connection. Can’t see it at all.

It would be a very odd move for Guehi to make at this point in his career tbh.
  13. No, if City or Arsenal or Madrid or Bayern came in for him he’d also be gone. Think people need to stop taking the “really happy here” type statements as some concrete oath of blood loyalty.
  14. If you were viewing this scenario play out at a different club, would any of us really be thinking “yeah, no chance he’s leaving” after those comments?
  15. If Howe wanted to go then paying up the contract would be irrelevant. He’d just walk.
  16. England very obviously do have one of the best squads in the world, and this is a fact recognised by football fans across the world. That’s why, for example, England were betting favourites for the Euros in every betting market on Earth. Very thick and boring to pretend it’s a product of “English arrogance”.
  17. I agree, and I think the people pretending it’s not at least a very strong possibility are absolutely mad.
  18. There is absolutely zero chance that my close personal friend Eddie Howe - whose inner mind I know so well - would think for one moment to accept a more high profile, better paid and more prestigious job.
  19. 99% of our Blue Tick Twitter fans need their (symbolic, digital) heads kicked in, tongues chopped off and fingers broken. Ginger Pirlo first up.
  20. Like what, specifically?
  21. I’m a negative nancy at the best of times but I can’t believe people are wetting the bed at this. There’s not many clubs in the world who wouldn’t pull the trigger on this transfer regardless of PSR trouble.
  22. I bet there’s a sizeable portion of Swiss fans who hate Schar. Must seem like such a mindless lunatic to them. It’s bizarre.
  23. What does this even mean? There are almost no similarities whatsoever to their games.
  24. Yeah, the people they’ve appointed are. If we’ve fucked up on PSR the responsibility ultimately lies with them. And the idea that Hope would invent this out of thin air is pure cope.
  25. The Saudis are not used to operating in an environment where they can’t just throw money at a problem. It’s not a surprise to me that the club has sat with its thumb up its arse and let this situation fester.
