Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Soggy cardboard for ankles. Doesn’t have it in him. -
Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

The Saudis have one tactic and one tactic only - throw money at something. If there’s something stopping them from doing that - like PSR - they’re all out of ideas and the motivation disappears. -

How is this not a massive signal that Isak is leaving? We're not switching from 4-3-3, Ekitike isn't signing to be a back-up, Isak isn't going out left... -
Concern with Elanga is he’s another one who doesn’t offer much against deep lying defences. So much of last season we were aimlessly passing it around the opposition box with no real idea what to do. Don’t see him changing that at all.

Churchill was a journalist during the Second Boer War before fighting very briefly as a junior officer towards the end. Why would you not at least Google it yourself before doubling down?
-
What are you even referencing here? Bizarre stuff.
-
Not sure this logic works - Bruno, Isak and Botman are all of a calibre that would improve us if they were signed today, certainly relative to the likes of Pedro and Elanga.
-
I’d love to know the story behind the Bruno/Botman/Isak signings. Whatever that strategy was it’s been long abandoned.
-
Serious questions have to be asked about the character of the squad after that. Would be happy to see Bruno and Isak moved on in the summer. I am not a subnormal kneejerking freak.
-
Can people not see it’s the midfield that’s the problem? It’s completely non-existent.
-
Not cashing in last month will come back to bite us.

They’re randomers who’ve never stepped foot in Europe and probably had a Newcastle result in a bet. Do you think they’re remotely arsed?
-
The last 6 weeks have been absolute torture for a lot of hysterics.
-
Midfield remains our weakest area - very little mobility or protection of the defence in there. Would expect Semenyo to cut through us at will. Hopefully their finishing is as bad as Wolves’.
-
Net score of 24-3 in the last 9. Pretty mad.
-
Is that what’s happening at Newcastle? We’re losing our best players while getting further and further away from winning a trophy? Completely bizarre fantasy where people think moving to a 70k corporate bowl at the Silverlink would magically produce success. It wouldn’t, it’d just further neuter the match day experience while allowing gorms on the internet to brag about attendances like Top Trumps.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Any fee would be <£1m and completely trivial for PSR purposes. If Dubravka contributes to us finishing a single place higher than otherwise - which is hardly implausible given how good we and he have been recently - it would likely generate more revenue in this PSR period than whatever fee we'll get for him.
