  1. Never paid any attention to Lloyd Kelly, but based on what I've heard people say, getting him on a free would be a smart move if we are looking to continue buying 1 Left Back every season ?
  2. Seriously rate Toney, think he has similar qualities to Kane, and like Kane is more than just a 9, though I just can't see us going for him because age/attitude/price etc

    England

For me Kane, Bellingham, Foden and Saka are absolutely elite and need to play, but not sure on the best formation to fit them, like previously said, Foden and Bellingham have been playing as AMs Honestly think Gorden could do a job at LW, Foden is obviously better but Gorden provides an outlet and eats space up on the counter or in transition, whereas the 4 previously mentioned have different strengths
  4. Pretty sure villa normally batter Brighton. Seems to be a triangle between the 3 teams as we always struggle against Brighton
  5. I think every team wants athletic players these days, I think it's starting to become the baseline requirement for even the lower end teams if they want to compete, all the way to the best teams. Even Madrid have changed their approach and have way more physically imposing players than they used to I think we'll be okay with Howe having more input in transfers, as we did before we got Ashworth. However if for example we sacked Howe and got someone like Conte in who wanted 5 new wing backs and a target man, then I'd be shitting myself and wanting someone to tell him to fuck off
  6. I think as well if we persist with Bruno there, we need to play higher like we do with Pope/last season to shorten the gap Was thinking Liverpool don't have the quickest of DMs by playing McAllister there, but they play a high line, van dijk and konate are absolutely rapid, Allison is an outstanding keeper, and the 2 other midfielders are very athletic (szoboszlai / Jones)
  7. Hall was class against us last season, sure he played a handful of games at the end of the season and looked like the new 'Chelsea academy star'
  8. In the likely event Chelsea don't make top 6 but win this I mean
  9. Does the winner of this affect European placement / qualifications?
  10. Do you think we'll sign another LB in the event we sign Hall for £30M?
  11. There is something about them that isn't quite as strong as usual. I think they were defeated a bit by the summer market, didn't they want Bellingham and rice, but got kovacic and nunes? Deffo see it close this year, whereas last year's city I'd back comfortably to win this season

It kind of fucks up our left back situation, IF he doesn't come good / get used next season As of right now we've got £30m already committed to him for summers budget, if he again isn't fancied, or loaned etc. Then we're still with Burn starting, Targett back up It would seem madness to buy another LB with us having 3 and having spent £30m already in the window.... So are we at risk do Burn starting LB next season?
  13. True, in that case I'd have loved it if we flogged Wood and bought Pedro then ?
  14. I'd absolutely love it if FFP enabled us to get Pedro when we got Isak, both could seamlessly rotate and Pedro wouldn't mind being on the bench at first, can also cover the front 3...if only
  15. Aye exactly, Barnes, Willock and Joelinton all out. Nothing you can do about that really
  16. Agree with those saying we need 2 strikers and not 3, our problems seem down to - Both have been ridiculously injury prone this season Our 3rd choice happens to be our LW and player of the season so far We have no decent 18 year old to take out the Academy to give it a go
  17. I'd rather have Saka over Foden imo Not sure how to rate Bellingham, this season he's played as good as any attacking midfielder could play, will he keep this insane rate up, or will it be seen more of a purple patch once they sign an Mbappe etc. Gonna be one of the GOATS if this is just the start and he only gets better
  18. What type of restrictions, as in they want other people with power to have their hand in thing's alongside Ashworth, as in PIF want more of a say than Ashworth would like etc?
  19. Even Sunderland had a couple moments where they ran through and right at us, can't remember which player but the little / no.10 guy did a couple times

Hit the nail on the head, completely agree Thing is, if he stays, he has to be of use next season, we can't be buying another left back with him, burn and target on the books, and if he's here but still not used, then LB will once again be a weak point... Can't see the club letting this happen
  21. Okay, in which case we get a slight FFP boost, not bad if he genuinely doesn't want to be here..but who knows for sure
  22. Does the money we receive for him count towards FFP?? Or is it just player sales, not including non-player sales?
