  1. am more hopeful about this fixture than usual but still very nervous last season MU came into this in terrible form at the same time our form was picking up Isak, Gordon, Joelinton etc wasted a load of chances, while Trippier and Dubravka gifted them 3 goals and the ref/var denied us a stonewall peno think Howe was genuinely angry with the players for throwing away those points and will be even more determined to avoid doing that again on Monday just hope we turn up and don't get screwed by the refs
  2. getting rid of Ashworth so quickly after months of negotiations, his compensation fee and all that shite in the media about being best in class, was absolutely staggering Ratcliffe doesn't strike me as the patient type, I think he expects Amorim to have a magic wand and will not settle for struggling in the bottom half for too long the scrutiny MU are under and the ignominy would likely be too much for Ratcliffe there's absolutely no chance of relegation this season or any season imo in fact it would not surprise me in the least if he pulls a win out of the bag against us on Monday MU always at their most dangerous when they're being written off, and losing 3 in a row at home is almost unheard of there
  3. last season pretty sure we went into the game as bookies favourites and typically lost 3-2
  4. please please please don't get a yellow against Villa to be suspended MU game at Old Trafford I still don't think we're winning that game, it'll probably be similar to last season (which we should've won tbf)
  5. to be fair, our 0-0 at SJP and 1-1 at Anfield in 20/21 would be enough to see us through a 2 legger on away goals (mad that was under Bruce) now that I think of, pretty sure away goals don't count in the LC?
  6. the league cup has some odd rules 2 yellows = suspension red cards in cup carry over into league, but league suspension don't carry over into cup 2 leg semis (which I support) no var until semis (which doesn't really make sense) clubs in Europe getting a bye into 3rd round AND then being guaranteed not to draw each other (for this season) at least it's somehow still relevant I suppose
  7. Howe: "Disappointed with the bookings and to lose two key players in Bruno and Schar [for the semi-final] but it goes with the territory. We are competitive and encourage the intensity so you can't have everything." Unless you're Chelsea or another cartel club
  8. Great to see him coming really good now, I was a bit underwhelmed at the start but no doubting his quality he's been brilliant last few games starting to think we'd be playing CL football this season and maybe won the LC last year had he not been suspended (don't think we've had a more unlucky season in my lifetime when you also factor in so many injuries)
  9. oh wow that is fantastic news! just read a few comments saying they were suspended and assumed the worst
  10. hate to be feeling negative after the team played so well tonight but I'm absolutely gutted Bruno will be suspended - for what, 2 yellows? (ridiculous if so) like I don't think we've ever won a game without Bruno in the last 2 years (possibly one or two but we're a different team without him either way) Schar also a massive loss considering injury situation and Botman likely needing to be eased back in Arsenal and Liverpool can so easily rotate and still beat PL sides, doubt we could've done the same Great to be competing again but gonna try not to get my hopes up too much, we're pretty big underdogs now imo
  11. Liverpool getting away with murder there shocking decision, clearest red you'll see no doubt their deluded fans will probably counter they should have have a few pens and were hard done by the refs as usual sick of this shit, just feels like their name is on every trophy no matter what happens
  12. what's mad is only a couple of weeks ago this Southampton team were a few mins away from beating Liverpool
  13. could have done with MU not winning this game the lift it's gonna give then now for a nice run of fixtures including their traditional 3 points against us at OT

    Jacob Murphy

replay showed it was a save and should've been a corner
  15. Ginola14

    Jacob Murphy

before he scored his second it looked like he blazed over from a similar position replay showed it was an unbelievable save and should have been a corner shouldn't be criticised for that one
  16. Ginola14

    Alexander Isak

he's so so good, but at the same time can be way too casual with his finishing that one on one in the first half was a terrible finish, and not the first time (Chelsea away and Brentford last week he was also too casual) thankfully it didn't cost us today against a very poor and understrength team needs to be more ruthless, hopefully it's something he can improve on don't mean to be too critical, he's still our best attacking player, just think he has a lot more in him and could become a legendary player and Ballon d'Or contender
  17. at least we didn't sign Chiesa eh
  18. ah they're such a deluded bunch, any objective fan/pundit has given Newcastle plenty of praise for their performance still fuming about the ref denying us our 4-3 moment would've been sweet revenge for their late comeback last season and also helped erase the memory of Anfield in 96
  19. Spurs second half yesterday was worse than anything I've seen from Newcastle under Howe in his 3 years here Bournemouth really should've buried them - Ange lucky to come away with what looks like a respectable 1-0 defeat on paper
  20. the reaction on the Ange thread on the Spurs forum is significantly worse than the Howe thread here after we lose he seems like an arrogant twat so no sympathy
  21. every passing week our point at Bournemouth is looking better they were fantastic tonight and no fluke, also beating Arsenal and City great to see all these 'midtable' teams such as Brighton, Fulham, Brentford doing so well and upsetting the 'big clubs' on the downside it will probably also be at our expense as likely we will continue to struggle against them
  22. scanning the Liverpool forum and not a mention of the VVD assault or that shocker to blow up early they genuinely believe the refs are against them all the time and it's some sort of conspiracy I know all sets of fans can be tribal and are biased, but they're on another level, probably the most deluded and entitled fanbase going (maybe Arsenal could rival them)
  23. trying to be optimistic, only a week ago Southampton gave them quite a scare and could've easily won I hadn't been overly impressed with Liverpool until watching them blow away Real and City, so of course they're coming into this game now in their best form in a couple of years I still think they're perhaps a bit overrated and will go through a sticky patch hopefully the crowd can make SJP a bear bit tonight, Gordon can torment TAA and Isak is fit please just don't lose!
  24. still not fully over this fixture last season we had them where we wanted them and they were there for the taking Miggy hitting the woodwork twice was so unlucky, including Alisson save of the season needed that second goal to kill them probably never have as good an opportunity to smash them and now feels like they could smash us 😑
