  1. the way I see we should just tell Liverpool to fuck off or demand closer to £200m, an additional 50m for not allowing us Ekitike maybe entertain discussions of a 150m swap deal with Ekitike next summer gotta rinse them for as much as possible fuck them
  2. most annoying think about this saga is the impact it could have on our opening fixtures if nothing else Liverpool have managed to completely disrupt Howe's preparation / original gameplan for opening home game against them, with Isak now seemingly out of contention to play
  3. the talk of Watkins being available is interesting but surely Villa wouldn't let him play against them next week similarly if Isak goes to Liverpool, surely won't be allowed to play against us at SJP both moves would probably happen closer to end of transfer window I guess, if at all at this point it's looking like it'll be Gordon up top in the opening games?
  4. haven't given up on Isak yet, probably badly advised and door still open for another season at least if he gets his act together still don't think we'll sell unless it's fully on club's terms - can't help but think back to Amazon documentary where Yasir publicly said he wants NUFC to be number 1, him attending the cup final and final game last season for CL qualification etc - imagine he'll be attending our first CL home game this season and won't have forgotten all that no way he doesn't get final say on this and I'd be shocked if we let him leave this season
  5. if nothing else maybe our bid forced them to pay the max hopefully also means we keep Isak win win really!
  6. just ben jacobs running this story? if so v surprised it got its own thread would prefer not to give Chelsea any money for their unwanted players
  7. think it was widely reported we walked away from Ekitike negotiations after it was made clear he only wanted Liverpool this feels different
  8. aye the longer this drags on the more I feel there could be another twist the reporting on it from likes of Romano and Ornstein has been abysmal, bunch of shills
  9. no but maybe their dithering will sufficiently annoy RB and player's camp to the point where we could make another swoop not expecting that to happen, always said he'd go to MU where him and his agent I'm sure will make more money
  10. whatever works for them I suppose anyone else dreading the Villa game and start of the season in general? only 8 days away...
  11. would love it if this falls through MU probably desperately trying to save a couple of mil until they can find a buyer for Hoijlund
  12. can just imagine Ratcliffe's thinking.. this is absolutely ridiculous... player is best in class and wants to come to the biggest football club in the world... but then you have these clubs that try to exploit Manchester United... biggest football club in the world...etc Twat.
  13. I like the idea of weakeing Villa before the season opener at their place wasn't long ago that Watkins was terrorising our defence in that 4-1
  14. would be so funny if this somehow end up falling through for MU so many of their fans saying how desperate Newcastle were with second bid, massively overpaying etc now it looks like they'll match that bid and are lording it over us
  15. surely his agent must now be on the phone to both clubs looking for each club to better the others financial package for him and the player I think that's where MU blow us out of the water sadly
  16. best case scenario he signs a new contract out of the blue, wins the fans back over as he bangs in 30+ goals this season then we sell him abroad next year for £150m didn't something similar happen with Suárez at Liverpool?
  17. we can offer him CL football this season and have had a much better team for the last 2 years or so but MU can easily offer him more money if they want can see why the agent is holding out for them
  18. what is MU average wage bill compared to Newcastle's? nothing to do with money 😅
  19. of course his agent is pushing for MU, they're the only club left where Sesko would get top £££ so many useless updates from Romano
  20. would be good to get this resolved pronto apart from going to Liverpool the worst thing would be if he's still here but not in the squad against Villa when the season kicks off due to ongoing speculation
  21. the meltdown here seems way over the top, are all fanbases this miserable when faced with a bit of adversity or is it a Newcastle thing? he is a very good experienced PL goalkeeper, massive upgrade on Dubs, way better with his feet than Pope if we need to change the way we play, only 27 with room to improve, seems like he can be got for decent price etc - not sure who else we could realistically get that ticks so many boxes
  22. if MU bid for him then there's only one winner here they will offer him way more than us and he will choose them simple as that really
  23. I don't think Yasir will let Isak leave unless it's on the club's terms - someone in his position doesn't strike me as the type who will dictated to by agents and rival clubs, or let it appear that way maybe Liverpool will end up regretting this when they try to sell Salah next year
  24. I think when there's literally millions of pounds involved most people listen
  25. I think Isak is being led by his agent and feels he deserves to be paid much more and could get what he wants elsewhere there's fuck all loyalty in football these days so not gonna get too annoyed with Isak he'll always be a ledge here after scoring the winner against pool on the cup final
