Playing in a side where he’s regularly knowing he’s starting will help his game. He’s done the training part with the top guys for 24 months, he now needs a run of games. A loan till January will be ideal IMO. We’ll only play 6 UCL games in that time, and he can come back for depth for final 2 games and future rounds + FA Cup. Key moment in his development to get a run in a side where his actual midfield game can be honed (is he going to be a deep CM, advanced CM etc.). Think there will be legs in the rumours of him going on loan these next 2 weeks. Keeping him for 6 UCL games at a minimum, where he probably sees little minutes does him no good nor us any good long term.

The two big goals were crosses and brilliant headers. That’s not something that’s going to happen every game, but they took the points when they were there and that’s all you can do. They won’t finish higher then 15th, but early on have giving themselves confidence they can get high 30s which is safety.

Their first three league games are literally against sides that they will be battling to stay up with (like they will all come bottom 5). Giving themselves a chance by not dropping points to them sides, but the real tough games are to come where a few defeats and the morale will sink quick.
