  1. I like Anderson, but with no Europe I’ve said for ages that with lack of games we either play him or he goes out on loan to see his level long term. Here, we’ve got Forest paying £10m off the bat. Where his talent could be more Elanga v Reyna. Just a deal you have to accept when in reality it would’ve likely been a loan.
  2. Anderson is either amazing or shit. Guys not played regular football above championship, so it’s a deal that’s worth making. Like we’re too blinkered or blinded by the FM world. Anderson may become an amazing Barkley talent where we’re ruing letting him going so cheap, or he doesn’t play at Forest and we’re laughing. How much did Everton get for Barkley?
  3. £33m is jokes money. Never played for us ffs. Move forward now with a player that’s actually part of the club.
  4. Wouldn’t say it’s poorly managed financially, unless you accept we went with a gamble that didn’t work. I do believe our financial projections would’ve been based on playing European football till April, whether that was UCL or Europa, and going out was a big blow to this. Then to help with next years, gambled with not selling in January to try and get Europe.
  5. £22m is an absolute fucking bargain for Hutchinson. Only hope is Ipswich go down so he can be picked up at same price at worse.
  6. Minteh potential rising every day. Why aren’t PSG in for him? I mean, even Jahanbakhsh smashed it in Eredivise and was a wet blanket in prem because defenders were better and didn’t allow it so easy to just cut inside. Minteh needs to play elsewhere before he’s cemented as a legit talent.
  7. Caicedo / Enzo / Palmer their set up. So which one do they drop? Or do they move Palmer RW, in which case, why the fuck are they targeting RWs? It’s not a good deal for Chelsea. Still got likes of Lavia who won’t get minutes. Sterling high costs on LW. It’s a very bloated squad that’s just kicking the can down the road.
  8. Ortega isn’t the greatest with his feet either when compared to Ederson, but he’s serviceable. Unless Man City spend very big on Maingan, the next keeper won’t be some elite passer and Pep will adjust.
  9. Deal collapsed as KDH wants Chelsea. Chelsea assembling such a bloated average squad. They’ll be saved by probably selling Palmer to Man Utd next summer for £80m+
  10. Selling Gallagher to bring in KDH would be jokes.
  11. If we’re all in on Howe, then I’m not concerned. For him personally, would come with added expectations and pressure, and if he delivered, superb. Doesn’t, club would just replace and the structure with it. Backing a settled manager with a settled squad, wouldn’t be so unwise.
  12. Must be close to Nickson getting it, and a reshuffle elsewhere and recruit.
  13. November feels ambitious. Likely be 3 months till full training and ready for games when he resumes light training, which case would be some time early August.
  14. Wouldn’t be surprised if one of Alison or Ederson is moved onto Saudi this summer and they replace them with Mama and within few months of season, people are lauding it as astute business.
  15. He probably does. Just a fair portion of people likely would prefer Mama over Trafford, at the expense of £20m, seeing as there’s no solid names linked at the moment for RW.
  16. He is, but this is a long term position at a possible good value. A keeper for next 6-8 seasons is some deal.
  17. If you are getting 15+ prem goals each season, sure, but he’s played through middle for some of that and having Barnes cut in on one side, and Bowen in similar vein on other is too similar if both were on pitch same time. Think we’ve seen the peak output for Bowen, and I would prefer a RW that can be more creative in tight spaces.

    Anthony Gordon

Eze came on last game. I just feel he’s not fully fit and not been risked yet, even off bench. Like a normal ankle injury you’d be looking at 4 weeks or so, which would put him around this times scale to be back fully fit. Just can’t be stated enough IMO how much we kept getting Gordon back out there last season when he looked fucked after a tackle game before. Great short term, but wouldn’t want that to be a regular thing long term.
  19. Bowen is a transfer that should’ve been made few seasons ago. No point signing him now, better signing someone else long term.

    Anthony Gordon

The only thing I can think for him not playing or even featuring yet, his ankle injury hasn’t been fully healed yet. And with other options, Southgate doesn’t need to choose a 90% fit Gordon, whereas we had no choice last season and patched him up and rolled him out each week.
  21. Said it other week, rather we signed Hutchinson from Chelsea then Madueke. Hutchinson looks every bit the player that’s ready for the next step. Feel he’ll have a higher ceiling long term.
  22. Would be pure profits in accounts from Minteh sale, and favourable terms to buy Cherki for accounts as part of the deal.
  23. Do we still hold any interest in Cherki? And could Lyon being actively interested in Minteh help with a deal there?
  24. Not to act as a smoke screen, but do believe the club work on 2+ players at same time, and when one looks more attainable, move for that, whilst leaking one of the players to use as negotiating tool.
