  1. Rather accept Isak can throw a wobble all he wants, he’s here in September. Club will do more longer term damage selling him and panic buying some shite striker for a high price, then keeping him and needing to play Osula for first couple of games till he comes back round for one season.
  2. Can we please stop mentioning Jackson. Not going to happen, and thank fuck too.
  3. Atmosphere at SELA cup going to be so flat isn’t it. Like what’s to get excited about? Different when first game of season comes as it’s business time, but that friendly was suppose to be homecoming with multiple fresh faces, big excitement. Instead it’s Elanga, which is muted when Gordon is upfront and Targett at LB.
  4. He’ll probably score 12 goals in 35 games, averaging a goal every 230+ mins. Like a steady return, but not what you pay £70m for with big wages. It’s like the average output for any striker playing games for a side that finishes top half.
  5. Liverpool will go for Rodrygo IMO and use Gakpo as the emergency back up striker.
  6. Where is everyone that was adamant it was happening? Could see this coming a mile off for people not clouded by close links.
  7. Isak + any injury free competent striker and I’m delighted. Keeps our prized asset and allows us to plan for 2026. CB + CM key alongside, but rather us sign no-one instead of rush a signing, if there’s then room to make a play in January. Not ideal, but better than being saddled with someone we end up struggling to get rid.
  8. Media (and likely our fans) will be yapping on about his body language all season, when it will be the same as his first season. Guy has a look of a sulky player all the time, that’s just way he looks on the pitch but doesn’t mean he’s sulky
  9. Ramos strikes me as a more well rounded chaos striker. Like he’s better in his play etc. but a wild striker where you don’t know what you are going to get. Laughed at him when he rattled cross bar in UCL from a toe punt. Both stupid decision for the type of finish, but also really good for the technique

This interest just strikes me that the club have done fuck all past 12 months and reverting to players on their radar from 2023-2024.
  11. That’s a face opposition clubs know they can fuck hard.
  12. Confident this will get done when they come over this week. Case of thrash it out with all here and he doesn’t return to Spain.
  13. He’s a LW/Inside forward so no need. Didn’t have Barnes then yea, but we’re loaded in that area and you don’t want him or Gordon playing directly upfront as main striker, as it doesn’t get best out of them.
  14. Jacob’s is paid by Chelsea. He’ll be spouting Jackson name so it gets a club who’s interested to make a first move in fear they may miss out to Newcastle. It’s what they’ve been doing for all their outgoings. KDH linked to Fulham, then low behold, Everton pay £30m.
  15. Think people need to adjust their context to current situation. Is it loads better than Ashley days, absolutely. But in current landscape, when competing with these sides, is this window and our continually strike outs embarrassing and borderline negligence, yes. We don’t always have to compare to Ashley days to make things better, we’ve clearly moved on from that era and in current one we’re striking well below what we’ve been doing before and that should be rightly called out for what it is. 5th August. We have Elanga and a goalkeeper on loan.
  16. Page 132 and before when all the posts said what would happen, has now happened. Only 72 hours later.
  17. 0%. Liverpool won’t move back for him if he’s not at same output that makes it hard to not go back in for him. And he’s a striker, just like we’ve seen with Wilson, they care about their individual records and themselves. Goals means stronger terms.
  18. PSR doing its thing. Commercial revenues means even when bottom out, they can still operate beyond clubs that have better cash flows. Protecting clubs int it.
  19. He can half ass all he wants if it yields another 20+ season. Means we do well and his value remains high.
  20. I mean now we’ll just go and pay £40m for Wissa and Isak stays. It’s that simple now. Wissa has to be wrapped up in next 24 hours.
  21. This window has made it clear that our upstairs are not switched on with player signals. A common person knew this would happen, yet we kept interacting Under Staveley, we’d have walked away ages ago and our name wouldn’t have even been associated with the player as we wouldn’t be at the table.
  22. Because Sesko will only join Man Utd, so Man Utd can get him a little less then what we would pay.
  23. Told people we should move away last week Andy Howe the MUG once again.
  24. It’s a must not lose game, especially if Isak went. Don’t even want to think of the optics if we lose Isak, then open season with a defeat to Villa away then lose to Liverpool at home as the media rub it in.
  25. Wilson can’t press after 60 is smelly bull shit. That’s after 30+ games where it starts to take its toll, having someone who can come on for him is massive and sees that not be an issue that’s heavily over played. Sesko has to come in and be a major hit to even have it be a net squad positive. Even if Isak went to PSG, it’s still terrible stuff. He’s an absolute standout striker.
