What’s been our cheapest signing since the summer after PIF took over? Hall at £28m? (Can’t remember if Targett was an option to buy loan or we just signed him afterwards).
-
We’re 4 injuries (Botman, Schar, Hall, Joelinton) away from our team being: Pope: Trippier, Lascelles, Burn, Timo: Tonali, Miley, Bruno: Gordon, Isak, Elanga There’s plenty of players that improves that. Need to get out of mindset that £70m is all that elevates this squad.
-
A 3rd player PIF have lifted off Liverpool when they want rid. After this summer, I want our supporters group to get answers from the owners are what the crack is. You can’t expect us to be number one side when you keep helping our rivals.
-
I still don’t get on board with the article. Like you can say Mitchell done nothing, in which case what was the agreement late in the season when everyone in the club would be drawing up list of targets? Did Mitchell turn up and say “Sorry guys, got no names”. Or did it have we’ve got £150m to spend this summer if we get UCL, and Howe has earmarked Elanga, Pedro and Trafford as the players he wants. Great, Mitchell is thinking. That will leave me with whatever we recoup from sales to pick up some low cost buys. May as well head off. Feels like club were all in agreement what would be targets, and Mitchell left probably after a period of consideration if this is the job he wants as it would clearly be different to what Earles appointed him on.
-
And Sesko won’t choose until Man Utd have bid.
-
Can’t wait to see him rolled out in the UCL.
-
I don’t doubt Shaddow Puppets is close to things, but he will also be led down the wrong path like we have been doing all summer. Signing Sesko, then spending at least £40m+ on a back up, to then sell Isak would be horrendous business. Essentially we’re scrambling around like a pathetic desperate club at the whim of giving Isak what he wants? All whilst we have to roll with Lascelles as a back up CB.
-
And be back to square one? Strand Larsen would be £50m+, so unless we get Wissa, we’re back to big money 2nd choice, so may as well keep Isak instead of directly strengthening a rival and potentially needing to get DCL as a last resort 2nd choice striker.

He'll likely be leaving Barcelona by end of the window to someone.
-
He's got a proper wanky agent and a club that's hard to deal with. When he's ended up being way down our list, and it's now between us and Man Utd, that says a lot.
-
Ferran Torres would've been my 'named' striker signing.
-
What our aging defence needs, less protection infront of them.
-
For the 6th time, why are we entertaining the Sesko mess? If we had an actual CEO/DoF in place, they'd be pulling out a long time ago. Andy Howe is being taken for a ride again, absolute muggy twat.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Pope starting over Ramsdale, and that's mine. No new signings in the XI ffs -
Be funny what reception he gets from Arsenal fans if they draw each other. Then again, would he travel to UK?

We all know likes of Targett etc need shipping off, but I don’t think Howe feels the same. Otherwise as soon as season ends, they’d be told you are not playing a minute again for us, find a club or you rot in reserves. Howe isn’t ruthless like that, so as long as they train hard, they’re still involved in squad and club goes with “don’t need another LB as we’ve got one”. -
All for best part of £140m+ too. No wonder Mitchell fucked off.
-
The only caveat to us wanting to get this done in next 72 hours is because Sesko deal looks unlikely and we in absolutely NO circumstances can be lining up Sela weekend without a striker. It’s indicative of our fucking piss poor window we potentially have to go back in for this guy, pay the price and thrash it out. So we can get some fucking striker in and then can start looking at CB / CM, (CB of which I’m about 10% confident we will get one). Ramsdale (loan), CM, Elanga, Wissa That could be our summer ffs

People acting shocked at Pope This is him of the last 12 months, why we had to sign Trafford. Instead got fucking Ramsdale. -
Said this before, but at clubs like them where they dominate 99% of games, he won’t have to run as hard and they’ve also got Etitike to rotate. Isak fitness is fine, just for us our striker has to run hard yards and LITERALLY last season we had no-one to replace Isak and as season went on you could tell. Why we’ve been so determined early on to get a top striker, because we’ve not had that since Isak first season with him and Wilson.
-
I mean if it’s as simple as “just need to adjust our payment structure”, then it’s done today and he’s with the team on Tuesday when back in UK. But I don’t believe it’s simple as that and we’re being played and nothing will change today. Eddie going to be returning back after the tour and all we will have added is another GK, on loan. He’ll be turning up to training like

A player can agree terms with what’s offered but not agree to join. Like wages etc are fine, but he’s undecided on joining, that’s been made abundantly clear.
-
It won’t. Guy isn’t sold on joining us and trying to get Man Utd to make their offer. It’s all a waste of time. Just so many red flags around this player, move on.
-
But everyone was saying earlier that he was joining and why would we bid if we didn’t think it would happen. Walk away from this deal NOW please. It’s all a waste of time. Arsenal walked away for a reason
