True, but they just need to show for it and not hide. Also what is with the wingers being free at corners? Garnacho and now Amad.
-
There’s literally no reason why we can’t be dominating the play this game against this midfield.
-
Shouldn’t be. Plays right into Man Utd hands. Just control the ball and pass into the spaces. It’s annoyingly shit again from us.
-
I’m pissed off already with our shit passing. Fucking woeful with the ball.
-
Ah, that’s frustrating. Just lack care on the final ball so often when in those half chance moments.
-
So dumb that from Burn. Needless free kick after all us and we nearly concede.
-
Ffs. Why burn. So dumb.

Feels one big game left and it’s tonight. Hope we give it all. Even if we stumbled last game, I just want to beat these cunts in their yard, with oles 20 mins to go. They’re proper shit, and never going to get a better time to slap them at their place.

Only issue I have with that, he’s young and needs to be playing. A year of coaching is well and good, but if he’s not even going to be playing u23 games and gets like 200 mins across the season, that’s quite a bit of stagnation. Either needs to be out on loan, or with u23s quite a bit, if he’s going to be 6th or 7th choice CM next season.

Would like a CM, but if Howe is all in on Miley, maybe not needed. Just feel it’s an area where there’s potential for growth for what we’ve got currently, but also one that’s currently level below what we need. So it’s either trust the guys remain injury free, step up a level, or be ruthless, move one on (probably Willock how the season unfortunately has gone) and sign a replacement the club view as a must. Not sure what type of midfielder that would be though. Could be a more defensive one that fees up Bruno, more technically gifted small one that’s great with the ball, or a box to box. Personally, would prefer one that’s a specialist when operating deeper. Allowing Bruno the freedom to drift a bit further forward without a massive gap being left behind in front of the defence.

Should be no excuses for not going there Wednesday and winning. Their defence is a mess and midfield non existent. Only issue is our naivety in continually leaving space in front of our defence, so Fernandes will have all the time he wants, and the pace across their line. Hopefully Joe fit to start, as him back in that midfield will make a huge difference, I’d also have Gordon on RW and Barnes starting. Get a sight of goal, shoot.

Sub par performance, shame. Still in our hands but a great chance missed.
-
Poor from Almiron.
-
Poor we’ve made no subs. That late equaliser shouldn’t have changed the fact things fundamentally weren’t working.
-
Hall offering what we need from LB, that attacking dimension.
-
I’d like to see Joelinton for Murphy. Joe moved LW, double pivot in middle so Enciso doesn’t have all the time and space, Anderson off Isak and Gordon RW. Trippier for Tino too, just to offer some control deeper.
-
Need to get into HT no worse then it is now, regroup with a bollocking and go again. Do find it funny though how with the less games and longer breaks, we always seem the worse for it
-
Proper bogey team. Smashed them last season at home to a De Zerbi side, so expect us to turn this around. Barnes/Joelinton are key game changers for fresh energy on a day like this.
-
Going to need to do it the hard way again at home.
-
Guy wants to be fit for end of season so he can get a transfer.
-
I’d be happy with Abraham as a Wilson replacement if it was around £10m-£15m fee. He’s basically a poacher so would be a like for like in terms of what they bring, but with more years to get out of and this season aside, usually reliable fitness wise.
-
We’re still in a perfectly poised position for similar. Theres game to be played and in the positions from midfield onwards, Bruno aside, Howe will rotate when we have everyone available. Expectations are not the same as the big sides, so we can afford to blood them in too in this period before expectations do raise and it’s more challenging to give someone 19-21 years old solid minutes.

I’m always weary of a DoF joining a club and signing loads of players from ex clubs, never shows them in a good light. Outside of Olise, I’ll be amazed if we targeted any other Palace players if we got Dougie. It’ll be different level of players, and ones who Dougie would’ve had in mind to replace the likes of Guehi etc.
-
Freedman will be interesting. Palace have assembled quite a fun squad there, and got many young players, which he may have been heavily involved in.

Got to weigh up what will help the side next season. Think it’s an absolute must we get a new keeper of some sorts. Dubravka is just not suited to the style we are going down, so any injury to Pope, we haven’t got a keeper that can replace like for like. I’d want us to try and sign a goalkeeper that’s natural at sweeping and good with their feet. Even if their shot stopping is a bit average, having someone who can come in for Pope and not mess up the defence is important. Also one that’s got room to develop the consistency you get with age as a goalkeeper too.
