Probably say it’s more his agent dictating things. If Isak wants to explore options, this will be all under the instruction of his agent I.e stay quiet. If the option ends up being he’s staying here, his agent then will be telling him to do some PR and say his love for the club, injury etc. It’s all politician shit.

About as legit as the tooth fairy.

Only positive from that is Villa away, who are also not signing right now and have question marks over Watkins (with Martinez suspended first game). What should be a very hard game, becomes a lot more 50/50 at worse which I’ll take right now.

Nah. His record since moving to prem has been superb, and for a side that doesn’t dominate ball and play 99% of games. It’s also what else he brings to the striker role. Guy can drop off and link passes nearly as good as Kane, but then he can also dribble with the ball like a silky winger. So much to his collection you are just not paying for goals. Why I’d want to keep him at all costs for another season, because we’re still in squad building phase and need Europe every season and he’d be key to achieving that.

Sesko I’d rather we avoid. His agent has been touting him out all summer with no-one biting, and RB price point is just not warranted. Rather go for Ferran Torres as the striker option.

Nah, Levy essentially shifted the goal posts so after first bid from Man City was rejected, Man City knew it would be a mess so just moved away. They didn’t sign anyone that summer, then signed Haaland following year. Kane then had no options, stayed another year before Levy cashed in final year for £100m or he’d leave for free.
-
It’s literally same as Kane scenario. He had 4 years left when it was apparently worded with Levy he could leave the following summer if club got a good offer. Man City made an offer around £100m mark, Levy rejected, Kane apparently downed tools and wanted out, didn’t play first league game, but then came back into fold and smashed in the goals as usual and moved 2 years later, for £100m. Literally no reason for us to not follow same route. Worse case, Isak has two average seasons, the move he wanted is not there and he chooses the big contract at us.
-
Liverpool need to bid because it will quickly shape which way this goes. If it’s a bid that’s then worded by Hughes to his mouth pieces, that if it’s rejected they will go elsewhere, it will say it all. We reject it quickly, we can nip this in the bud. Longer Liverpool just sit trying to undermine us, more it must piss us all off in the club and just makes our stance more entrenched.
-
Irony lost on him. Liverpool were about to go bust till their new owners came in and injected a load of money into the club.

Nah, women’s game is still to grow quite a bit so the clubs selling theirs now are doing it out of desperation and at the lowest point. Better to keep it open so they can sell it for bigger sums in future years.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
Sibierski replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Pope was great for us last few months of season when teams were putting in crosses, but the shots that were low down, he was starting show major weaknesses with them. -
At least we've not made a formal offer this time, waiting to hear first he's not interested so we don't waste time (Like Mbuemo).

Ornstein saying a significant loan fee would be needed too. Imagine droping £5m for him on loan Freedie Woodman on a free was legit a better option. Rather sign Angus Gunn on a free instead, at least he's best mates with Murphy. -

I can only guess Dubravka was promised a move this summer for him staying in Jan. And after missing out on Trafford, we're desperate for a GK, and one the club (Howe) trusts if Pope is injured, which the list of who's reaistically available probably is Ramsdale and Begovic. -

Probably have something stinky like plays 5 league games and it's permanent. So a Pope injury and we're forced to sign. -
