Osmihen is an amazing striker, can do things that many other strikers can't and he seemingly has no right to do. Amazing talent. Just people will disregard him because he's wasting his career with a season in Turkey, after a few seasons at Napoli who aren't the top club so is not in the deep ends of UCL which people remember. Hope a top side in Europe buys him, with his demands dropping, because staying in Turkey would be a proper waste.

Does feel from links though that who we sign as that 2nd striker, needs to be able to play another position for the £50m price point. Mbuemo was that, Pedro is that, not sure what other names could also be that? If it’s just striker position only, it needs to be a lot less and the £20m-£30m mark which Delap would’ve been. Again, not sure who else is in that bracket? Edit: With the player links I take it always as agent driven, club sending media down the wrong path, but it gives us an indication of what sort of value / position we’re looking at. Like Barella the name, then it was Tonali. At the moment can say ST, RW, CAM, CB and GK are the confirmed positions we’re looking at.

Salah is a physical freak, Haaland walks around 90% of games. Isak presses hard, so will pick up muscle niggles if workload isn’t managed. Also it can be understated, when you are in a top side that dominates 99% of games, your attackers naturally get a rest as there’s less tracking back. We’re not there yet so more is demanded of our striker and attackers.

Coutinho and Rodriguez are two of similar moulds. When there’s a rich talent, you can drain the last bit out. A permanent move wouldn’t be wise, but loan is fine (it’s just injuries I’d worry about).
-
Injury inspired or not, it showed that the workload can be split between two good strikers for the benefit of the side, and that’s only going to get more this season. Especially since we’re showing more that we will target domestic cups too and never write them off. Whether Pedro is the man or not, a £30m+ outlay on a striker feels inevitable.
-
Yep. If we get to UCL QFs minimum, you want Isak starting every European game. He probably can only start 75% of Prem games at best to manage that, and not having a good 2nd striker could be 12 points dropped. That’s difference from UCL qualification and finishing 8th. An outlay in a striker is worth that.

Getting £30m for Bellingham, if they then signed Longstaff and Hackney for say £35m combined, they’d be so far better off

Think Man City know that any deal and they’ll probably have to cover £150k-£200k of his wages (if he’s on £300k). He’s been told to go and won’t be in USA. So it’s best interest for them to just take any offer going early doors instead of prolonging it to end of August for the sake of saving like £2m in wages.

He just said what everyone would be saying behind closed doors Almiron was a joke at that point, then turned clinical on back of it.
-
Just looked, and they signed another Greek teenager striker for £20m in Jan

World Cup coming up, he’ll be motivated for at least season because it’s probably his last chance of a major tournament. It’s his injuries that would be a concern for me. Don’t doubt his motivation or quality at all.
-
Looking at their 24-25 business, who was the right ones? Minteh could be it at £30m if he steps up. Gruder, Wieffer, Rutter, O’Riley, Kadioglu £140m Do people remember much of them this season gone?
-
Easy to forget that Brentford have dropped near £80m on Thiago, Carvallho, Van den berg. Shifting to Brighton recent model, where the buys are needing to be £20m-£35m mark and it makes the deals if they don’t work out more costly long term.
-
That’s a wild fee for someone who’s played one pro season
-
Assume probably a more professional sound board at this point, so involved for his experience but not the primary lead. Because how can he be? Can’t leave when mid progress on a deal.
-
One extra reason why need to fucking hurry up and sort out the CEO / DoF nonsense. Isak needs a new deal, Tino will want a new deal, Hall as you said too, then there will be others. It’s not getting players tied down early on that fucks clubs over in future summers.
-
People forgetting Chelsea signed Jorgensen for £20m and Maresca didn’t like him. Does Maresca even like Maignan? He’s been an exceptional keeper in past seasons, wobble this season gone. So will be jokes the recent season is his base moving forward and he’s throwing clangers in.
-
Most reports say he’s only interested in Man Utd. If he’s turning us down, why would he suddenly be interested in Spurs because they came knocking?
-
Chelsea did want him last summer but pissed about with the fee and lost him I think. So wouldn’t surprise me if they were back in for him.
-
Spurs be wasting time for Mbuemo, guy has his heart on Man Utd. Probably just making a play because they’re negotiating for Frank at same time.
-
No need to sell this summer, if Man City still want him and he still wants a move in 2026 then it can be revisited.
-
A name linked in past, European, so our fans latch onto them. Chalobah still better IMO.
-
Never useless playing at a good tournament and winning. Winning with England doesn’t happen often.

I’d be delighted with Ter Stegen. GKs can be unique where it can be a position you don’t really play yourself into. You either are good or not. 3 years of Ter Stegen is perfectly fine, step up and club will be in a greater position to sign another top goalkeeper by then (ideally need another GK next summer even when we sign one this summer in truth).
