Mbuemo has started season on form. Probably can see this summer being the one Brentford cash in for maximum value. Do people feel we should get him? RW but also reliable 2nd striker option too? Give's flexibility to bring in a young rough diamond RW too possibly.

I think his value is naturally around the £50m mark. I really wanted him (still do), but when it was getting close to £70m, I can't get angry at not doing that deal, as it's getting into silly money where that £20m is crucial to help other positions. If he's got his eyes set on us, hopefully we can get a deal done in summer for that price, but wouldn't be surprised if all three of Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City consider a move, where we won't be able to compete wages wise. I feel the boat has sailed though on Guehi, and club will be drawing up a list of other CB options to buy, with it being strongly linked to addressing other areas in the squad too (GK / RW / CM / RB / ST) moving forward. I.e. £20m CB options so money is spent elsewhere. There's good value out there for younger CBs, and if you've got Schar/Botman on books next season, plenty of quality and experience to learn from and develop.

Saudi clubs having even longer to mop up players / unsettle. Won’t last long, be a one year and done thing again. Best bet is you get enough top leagues agree it, and you force FIFA hand to adjust windows around the world a bit more.
-
Problem there, if the idea is to play through Bruno, you can’t rip up the blueprint just because that one player can’t do it. You have to persist with it, as rest of team is drilled into it and you upgrade the players that can’t do it. Going long, just masks Pope limitations but doesn’t help us as a side going forward when we do upgrade him and want to start playing more.

Literally overhauled the whole squad. Rashford, Maguire, Shaw and Lindelof doing some heavy lifting to disrupt the rest of the squad to play like shit.
-
Miley I really hope we get back soon, don't want him to lose a season when he was fairly on fringes of being a starting player for us.
-
Annoying Chelsea have fluked Palmer. Batshit club, but he’s actually elevating them to top level somehow
-
Shits all over Kelly. Just shouldn’t be dropped (or ‘rotated’) again.
-
That has to be the catalyst for our season now. Great performance and tempo against a top side. Can’t drop below that now for rest of season.

Schar and holding his head
-
Get someone else on for Gordon.
-
This 2nd half has really the old us in terms of tempo. Love it. Just need to improve the quality on the ball moving forward but this is the benchmark for effort.
-
Longstaff Got to laugh at that.
-
Joelinton man. Guy keeps thinking he has all the time in the world. Murphy been MOM.
-
Schar
-
Hall punched that ball through the lines so well. Such an asset to start moves.
-
Been far better 2nd half. Just need to ensure there’s no silly mistakes now.
-
Hope we get Ousla on for Gordon towards end as Gordon is near dead on his feet already and need to keep the pressure on.

6 MORE YEARS

Gordon isn’t good one on ones, fortunate to get a pen as should be finishing that.
-
Hall only one doing the little shuttle thing twice. Guy is so eager to keep improving and I like it.
-
Mostly because when he’s up top for is, it’s games like this where he’s told to chase lost causes and put pressure on. When it was England u21s, it was the side controlling the possession, getting it in the pockets and him making runs beyond, or dropping into pocket and someone like MGW / Madueke making run behind. Our play is just levels below that, as it’s more about getting turnovers high up and breaking.
-
Think the best we can hope for 2nd half is to get a lucky break (like that Joelinton chance) where we score, and we can get some fresh legs on to keep counter going in final 20.
-
Good shape for most of half, but as half wore on, we got more tired and the gaps and mistakes started to happen. Bit concerning we didn’t even create one clear chance with that energy at the start.
