Giving how many clubs have been impacted by transfers this summer, I won’t be surprised if over coming weeks some noise happens about clubs wanting to go back to previous year of window closing before first Prem game. So many impacted negatively. Whether that’s a blanket window close day before first prem game, or just domestic sales, and clubs can still sign from Europe up to end of August (as the European sales is what made clubs ditch if last time, it meant their bargaining hand was taken away for sales / unable to jump on deals later in window).
-
Depending how clubs are in January, Palace could still get £25m+ in Jan. Liverpool have defensive injuries and wobbling, they’ll be back.
-
Wissa will start. The guy needs to get playing time in his legs. Then after not playing two league games, Gordon may start LW and Murphy RW.
-
Down to 6/10 now Osula deal pulled.
-
What a fucking mess He’s going to get zero minutes. Guy needs to be playing football. Bet Wissa deal collapses now.
-
Well that went from a superb sale, to just a bog standard loan that covers his years amortisation for PSR.
-
Luxury tax should be a thing. Club wants to spend beyond PSR, they can. But a tax requires paying that’s then distributed amongst rest of clubs in league. Hopefully clubs outside the cartel 6 can smell the coffee and vote through changes. But there’s clubs like Brighton that won’t ever vote for changes, as they have it easy. And if more clubs come up from championship and want to spend, they’re more at risk.

If he walked, there would be many managers at clubs across UK and Europe be twitchy if they didn’t start off well.
-
Yep. Ensured we didn’t close any further, and we’ve at best been forced to stay still whilst the elite can take that step forward and always be one step ahead. Have to be a properly poorly run club to not be top 6 with these PSR rules if you are inside it. Man City look like bottoming out again, will be comfortable top 6. Chelsea are bat shit, be comfortably top 6. Spurs and Man Utd really fucked it up hard last season, and probably end up doing same again this season somehow despite the rules giving them a massive chance to get back in.

We could’ve had Etitike and Guehi, now both at Liverpool with Isak. So sickening. If PSR wasn’t so restrictive, we’d be motoring along.
-
7/10. Need to see how things go with the striker additions to see if it’s more. Our XI is par, and we’ve added depth but does it improve our weaknesses? Not for me. It’s first step for blowing up the squad up though, so need to nail the next summer window and we could really kick on.

Think net is around £250m, which is still a fair whack, and it’s not like the signing on fees / wages will be low ends either.
-
Based on fees before add ons: In: Ramsdale £5m, Ramsey £39m, Thaiw £34m, Elanga £52m, Wissa £50m, Woltemade £65m = £245m Out: Kelly £15m, Longstaff £12m, Isak £125m, Osula, £30m, Dubravka £4m (plus some wages off books - Hayden, Targett, Vlac, Lewis, Wilson) = £186m (plus whatever Guol was for) Obviously some of the fees are paying off remaining book value, which if Isak was £30m and Osula £6m, that’s still £95m outlay which if we had £150m+ this summer, is a fair whack still left to either get one more or be in a position to make some opportunistic buys in Jan.

Villa had deal lined up too. Was that going to be some PSR shenanigans?
-
FERMIN LOPEZ Chelsea stepped away as they knew we have him wrapped up
-
We surely have to plunge for someone else late on if we’ve got him leaving for £30m?
-
Bundesliga is ideal for him, even if he scores loads, it wouldn’t convince me he’s improved as a player.
-
WHO THE FUCK HAS PULLED THAT OFF
-
Be interesting to see what our team is like when we want Wissa / Woltemade on pitch together. We have two LWs, so if both fit, would be a surprise if Wissa was giving nod as a start / off the bench over one of them, or we go more 4-4-2 as an attacking option and sacrifice one of the CMs. Can think of many different combinations we could end up with in games, so at least opposition won’t be able to know us fully. Could end up with something like this in games - Elanga, Tonali, Bruno, Ramsey: Wissa, Woltemade Where Ramsey provides attack down left and two strikers in box. Or Ramsey slots alongside one of the CMs, and we have Gordon LM. Proper 4-4-2 with little and large up front

To be the driving force to push things along off the pitch. If they don’t think there will be anything happening off the pitch, no-one worth their salt will want the job.
-
I feel we need a full back by end of window. But I guess Krafth is viewed as the short term gap to end of season.
-
Has he pulled out of international duty? With no pre season, I’d rather we got him on the training ground this week so Howe and his staff can see where his fitness is at, not do it late next week.
-
Next month will be huge to show their future cause. Need to start to showing ambition off the pitch as whilst I don’t think players listen to it too much, after the Isak saga, the other elite players like Tonali who are due a new contract by the summer may start thinking about future options if it looks like what we are is the best we’ll be.
