A week spent on the training ground as well for this. Remember last season people saying after our injury spell and no Europe, we would pick up as we’d have more time to train. If anything, we’ve actually got worse as a side over time the more we’ve trained It’s so baffling and alarming. Just no where near same levels or general play as this time last season.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season
Sibierski replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
He’s being stubborn and it’s going to cost him. Something clearly broken on training ground too, as we are so poor with the ball, and players look switched off more than they’ve ever been. We’ll be stuck in a hard place, as even if club were inclined to wanting rid, whilst England job is available, they won’t make such a move as the chance of some compensation could be there (or even a mutual £0 agreement). -
Just don’t know why Howe is so fucking allergic to playing an actual CDM, or 4-2-3-1. Just so fucking something different with the fucking midfield. It’s what’s going to cost him and it’s so frustrating as we can all see it, but he’s in that stubborn manager principle zone.
-
Creating fuck all. Can’t defend, can’t control the ball, can’t create.
-
The approach of having all three CMs do bit of everything was great for 22-23, but it’s been clear over last season and this season, teams figured that out and we need to have some more structure in there with an actual CDM.
-
When the same issues are there each week, and it’s after manager has changed personal, it’s always a sign something is gone. Either players have switched off, or Howe is out of ideas. I think it’s bit of both. Team not been refreshed, and last season showed the 22-23 approach isn’t sustainable.
-
Honestly, what the fuck are we doing in training? Love Howe, but it’s clear each game something is broken.
-
Our defence going to get abused for pace all game.
-
And we’re behind again away from home. I’ll come back at 4:45 for the meltdown.
-
I just don’t want us to do the same failures, having no-one in front of the defence and ESR just has all the time in the world.
-
Never a fan of Hall being dropped, especially for Kelly who I think is so limited. Feels a big game for Trippier to really stake his still got it, and for Willock to get through 60 mins.
-
West Ham showing what poor business they did in summer. Signed people, but with no plan, as usual.
-
Think our best approach would be to let Fulham have most of the ball, as they’re a bit average with it, and pounce when likes of Bassey no doubt makes a hash with the ball.
-
Basically pack 6 back, then 4 to counter at pace with runners.
-
Willock to be tried right side and Big Joe in? Find it hard to believe Big Joe wouldn’t be starting an away game. Wonder if we could see a subtle change and it be a 4-2-3-1 to provide some better protection.
-
When is Wilson suppose to be back?
-
Little point winning ariel duels when no-one knows where the fucker will land to win 2nd ball after a Burn header.
-
Same. Don’t know what I can do different Go as a pair which must decrease chance odds, but going to need a good run of ballots to get close to a 1 in 3 chance.
-
He’s also got a proper slow LCB as his cover and regularly very little sitting CDM. Bit different to other sides who will have a faster CB to cover the gap and a more natural CDM. Maintain that Kelly at LCB over Burn would cover a lot of the issues. Teams know it’s an area to attack, as the pace just isn’t there on that side.

I mean, if you are spending £43m (which is like £55m+ these days) on a teenager, and not recouping a fee for them in their perceived ‘peak’ years, it’s borderline disaster.
-
Doubtful. Move will still be there next summer to top clubs because that position of quality is lacking in many clubs.
-
Football has completely fucked it self.
-
Shame we didn’t enter it when it’s this new format. Seems a near slam dunk you should be getting into knockouts.

Ready for another 0

Both are strongest at LW, both still a threat from RW. Just quite simple to play both, and have them rotate during the game depending on how things are going. Just comes down to IMO, if Howe wants to start both and lose the impact off the bench. Which if that was his mindset, I’d be proper disappointed.
