Worst part is that we’ve already seen this season how poor it is… makes no sense. Hopefully we’re still level after an hour so Howe can do his usual triple sub.
-
Nailed onto to be a repeat of the Bournemouth match. Hopefully we’re just as lucky this time.
-
Starting Longstaff and Murphy reminds me of Howe’s stubbornness with Burn at left back last season over Christmas period. It makes no sense.
-
When old ways included: - worst injury record in the league two season in a row - Botman deciding when he was fit or not - Gordon deciding when he wanted to do gym work Then I can see why Bunce’s involvement has been well received. Hopefully we see a lot less injuries this season.
-
Not sure how I want this one to play out… A weakened City brings us closer to them on our path of world domination vs. Premier League getting another kicking which hopefully challenges legality of PSR and APT Leaning towards wanting City to hand the Premier League a new one and hopefully opening up our floodgates.
-
PSR isn’t going anywhere particularly with UEFA imposing their rules soon. What we need is City (or anyone else) to blow away FMV so we can aggressively start increasing our revenues.
-
First match that we’ve won with Yasir in attendance?

Worst part about Palace is they’ve hit their glass ceiling with no ambition to be better than mid table/staying in the premier league. I understand their owners be like that so they protect their income. But I don’t understand how their fans can just accept permanent mediocrity.

Was the most honest press conference I’ve seen from Howe. Seems frustrated with the whole thing. Multiple targets identified and hours spent by him on scouting - none delivered. Also confirmed money was there and support from PIF. So this window can be squarely blamed on the executives not getting the deals done.
-
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Surely after the Freedman saga, we know how Palace work.
-
Thought he took the goal well. Harder finish than it looked.
-
Would he start for any other team in the Premier League?
-
Much better second half performance. We lose that last season. Get a point instead of losing is 22/23 form. Hopefully a strong finish to the transfer window and bring on Spursy.
-
Their owner is on the way out and will be buying Everton. That’s one of the reasons why I think Guehi gets done at our price, but with a bigger cash payment up front.
-
I don’t think many people will be disappointed if we pull out from this one.
-
The return of Premier League football - bring it on! Feels like this is needed after all the drama over nothing transfer window. 3-1 win.
-
Aren’t most clubs already near the 70% with wages to turnover ratio, and if amortisation is now included surely this screws up a lot of other clubs as well? Same as removing allowable losses… In my simple mind, Champions League brings a lot of revenue so aim is to push for that. If we don’t achieve then we’re likely to see a big player being sold before the 30th June cut off next year.
-
How do add-ons work when it comes to PSR. Are they all added to amortisation numbers like the transfer fee, or added when they’re achieved just over a shorter period of the remaining contract? Or something else?
-
Agreed. Especially when he says something along the lines “if one is to leave then it’ll be him”. I still think this one gets done.

The article includes the friendlies from this weekend, Southampton home then doubtful for Bournemouth and midweek league cup game. Not sure anything really has changed.

Eddie has said himself he’s in daily meetings to discuss transfers. I think this window is about patience and waiting for opportune moments/deals and perform due diligence. Last thing we want is another Tonali situation.
