That’s about as committed as you’ll ever get from Eddie.

The divide in the league has felt very evident this summer. Thankfully we’re a club who is at least showing ambition and trying to break the challenge. The rest of the league really do just make up the numbers.
-
Agreed - think the next fortnight is crucial. Otherwise we’re in the period where clubs know we are desperate, and selling clubs don’t have time to replace the players we’re trying to buy. Meaning we need to overpay, which it’s clear we’re not willing to do.

So many moving parts it’s difficult to know what is really going on. Order of scenarios by likelihood (in my opinion): 1) Isak stays, Liverpool sign Ekitike 2) Isak stays and we sign Ekitike 3) Isak leaves and we sign Ekitike I just can’t see Isak leaving. Yasir has said he’s not for sale previously, so it would hugely undermine his authority if this somehow happened.

Not just players, we have women’s team and other infrastructure we can sell to ourselves. Plus we wouldn’t need to do any of that until next June when we know what position we’ll be in for the following season. Plus FFP is a bit of a mess with last season’s ATP rulings and other case progressing this year. If ever we want to take a FFP risk, now feels this time to be doing it.
-
Agreed. Plus we could always sell our woman’s team or the stack to ourselves if things don’t work out. Not to mention, we’re still awaiting APT investigation to see if we’re still hamstring on Saudi deals. I don’t think the above is as far fetched as what it seems. Although ask me last week pre-Elanga and I would have laughed.

Agreed. I’m glad this has happened. Hopefully it’s a wake up for fans of the cuck clubs to understand the impacts of accepting being a cuck.

Heeeyyyyy Anthony Elanga ooh ahh I wanna knowwww how your scored that goal Clap clap clap clap clap clap Sorry - but that song alone made me pleased that Wilson was leaving…

I’m holding off judgement until the stadium plans and funding model is announced. If PIF are funding the majority themselves, then that gives clarification. But if the majority is loans secured by the club, then are we getting that much more benefit from them compared to other ambitious owners. I’m totally fine having ambitious owners before I come across too much as a spoilt child.
-
Feels like it has been a while since our last cash investment from PIF
-
Unfortunately I think it’s working exactly as planned for the majority of owners. The breakaway clubs have a huge advantage over any club showing ambition. Middle of the league cuckold clubs don’t have to spend much just to stay in the league. Football is fundamentally broken, but the majority of the 20 owners who set the rules don’t care.

Villa are owned in 1/3s by Edens, Sawiri and one other firm. For one of those owners to purchase the women’s team from Villa, then it’ll need to for enough money. Its a bit like Reuben’s buying our women’s team, but would need to pay enough that PIF feel it’s worth.
-
Several transfers are linked to that. Not because the buying team can’t afford it, but the selling team want to book the profit in next year’s accounts.

I think their season is still running, and this will be a big tournament for them. European clubs are finished for season and most players don’t want to be there. My money would be on a Brazilian team to win the whole thing.

Just been reading on how the draw works. Every team faces two sides from each pot which I think negates any advantage teams get from being in pots. Pots simply exist now to try and maintain a fair split of fixtures for all teams.

Probably been shared already, but some beautiful clips and crazy limbs in this video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdMGpYzu5lo

Agreed - it’s very noticeable he’s better on the left. Was it because he only had Murphy in front of him on the right?! Not sure. Regardless - if he stays, brilliant. If he leaves for a lot of money, then we have Hall at left back and can get a cheap enough right defender. It’s one of the easiest positions to replace.
-
No idea how that front of shirt sponsor thing is calculated. But I thought FMV is proven by a club if they can show they would be the same/similar amounts from elsewhere. For example, we would need to prove that an unrelated 3rd party would pay the same amount as Sela do.

As there’s 6 English teams in Champions League, is it right that we could draw an English team in the group phase?
-
We are a very good team. At home where the crowd will be well up for it. My only concern is that we don’t take our chances.

Remember speaking to him at a service station when he was heading home with his foot in a boot. Wished him a speedy recovery so we could avoid relegation. Oh how times have changed.

A lot of Everton’s energy will go into this weekend’s final game of the season. They won’t play a weakened team, but half of their players will be on the beach when they face us. Its the old adage, if we can’t beat Everton at home then we don’t deserve Champions League (assuming we don’t win this weekend)

I was expecting Chelsea to wipe out of goal difference lead, so pleased about that. Tonight shouldn’t really affect us, but it does put a nail in Forest’s coffin.
