Agree with today - can’t expect Willock to do much. But he’s done nothing for such a long time now that Howe shouldn’t be throwing him on and expecting the game to change. Osula could have come on. Even bring Burn on and just lump long balls in to the box. We could and should have tried something a bit different.

Just watched the press conference. I think that answer is more nuanced than the quotes. Key points I took were: - Barnes is more open to playing on the right, has done well and enjoys the freedom - Gordon enjoys it less so and prefers more structure - He will play Gordon on the right if needed, but also takes players preferences in to consideration I don’t think there is a problem or Howe being particularly challenging in his answer.

It all turns a bit too frantic/manic when we lose momentum in a game. Seem to drop too deep and don’t have technical enough wingers to regain control. That plus seeming to have moved away a little from our intense/physical identity at the precise time teams are launching all free kicks, corners and throw ins into the box.
