He's requested to leave West Ham for Flamengo/Brasilian league no?
-
Here's hoping he can recover some of that old form. I won't stretch to say I am confident that he will do, especially if he's playing 120 minutes and then another 90 back-to-back right after injury, but contract is signed now he can focus on getting back to his best with no distraction.
-
Everyone else doing some tidy business and we're sitting around fingering our arseholes again to a contract renewal. Can we sell some dead weight and get some reinforcements please or are we keeping the powder dry?
-
Far far better now (right) than when he arrived (middle). Middle is some last ditch defending at the back-stick like, nowt left. Get it though, it's hard giving it up.
-
Sure sure, but.. Has he kissed Sir Alex's ring yet?
-
I really hope so. Hall, Miley and Bruno are the three I'd like to see not sold at any point please.
-
Hall is fantastic, and I hope he is fit for foreseeable. No one mentioned young Murph, though I would have liked to see him have some playtime in the less intense games. I thought it was fairly obvious the crux was being annoyed at recruitment, but recruitment and judgements on playing time sort of go hand-in-hand no? If we don't recruit enough, then players play too much, if players play too much, they often pick up HSIs and similar injuries and/or re-aggravate existing issues. I felt it was obvious going into the season we were light at fullback (esp LB). It's obvious now. Season start, Hall isn't available because of his ankle surgery so Tino is LB and Trips is doing substantial minutes at RB. Tino plays: 16/08 90+ mins 25/08 90+ mins 30/08 90+ mins 06/09 22 mins (Intl break with England) 09/09 90+ mins 13/09 90+ mins 18/09 90+ mins 21/09 90+ mins 24/09 30 mins (Bradford game) 28/09 75 mins - Injury Or 11 games in what, 44 days (plus intl/travel) and almost all of them full 90s (+ added-time) before he went down. He comes back in vs Man City about 7 weeks later and plays the full 90 immediately at RB. Trips is fucked at this point and to spare the length of this post I'm not going to write all the same detail on him, except to say he was also played too much even when Krafth was available for rotation (they got injured roughly same time). From the Man City to Fulham game in Dec where Tino reaggravated his injury, he played 8 games in 25 days (every 3 days), all of them 90+ minutes except for Marseille (played an hour there). Now this covers some of recent history but it should be clear how this knock-on of injuries occurs from overplaying due to a lack of depth / lack of cover. These aren't freak one-offs but reoccuring/reaggravated injuries. These issues will keep happening until we either a) Force rotation and play someone like young Murph, or b) Just fucking spend 20mil~ on cover that will actually play. Again, a transfer or loan does not always have to be a perfect play; a Football Manager inspired move that will net 4x resale value. What is the value lost in points from having injured players out? What about the perceived value lost in their sale value if they're seen as injury-prone? 'you don’t know better sitting at home moaning' Sorry mate but this is about as insepid and pointless of a phrase you can bandy around. If that was correct, most of this function of this forum would be useless. Feel I've made fair criticism. Not to mention, physios don't have the magic eye and magic touch. They make best estimates and (very) educated guesses on how much a player can play. If they knew better, then no one would ever get repetitive injuries yeah? (going by your sentiment) Not trying to be overtly confrontational here and you might not read this long ass post. Totally agree though, someone like Ben White who can play across the line would be sound.

I'm annoyed by this by this injury tbh. It's not just Tino. We've been running Hall ragged too this season. They can't play so much, especially with recent injuries. I said it in the summer window we needed a fullback and we've still done fuck all. Why are we so reticent to do anything? It makes nee fucking sense. We shoulda been prepped as soon as winter window opened to sort a transfer (or loan), it doesn't need to be blockbuster. Feel like the phrase 'don't let perfect be the enemy of good' applies here. Not every signing has to be a some star or massive future profit. Anyway just ranting cause it irks me.

Ramsdale did good. Nowhere near at fault for the 3rd unless he called for it but we all know that isn't true. Good pens. Be fine as cup keeper til later stages.

My bad I didn't think to add spoilers on a... 23 year old show? Fuck man Unless my brain is omitting details. Was some time ago Edit: Fuck I looked it up. Might be getting senile. Must be due a rewatch

Even co-comm regulars like Lee Dixon () typically have the same shtick. I did notice it during game though, do agree. Especially fragrant when in 2nd half of ET he's harping on about how much B'mouth has been on top since it went to ET. Except we were wholly in control in first half of ET and really should've converted.

Did they manage to extricate the shit from betwixt their palms before they starting crashing their sosig fingers together?

Only teasing as I know you're a reg, but I've felt like this is standard operating procedure as far as commentators go for as long as I recall. Off the top of my head, only Ally McCoist, Michael Bridges, and Ray Hudson (before he retired) were ever really positive when it comes to us. You may know some more, but honestly in general we're played down in multiple ways across all media coverage. We're no darlings.

Is it catching? Just barely getting past this flu for starters

I mean it would track. Half our transfer strategy seems to revolve around monitoring for donkeys years and buying crock-or-not players.

Cor blimey he's heed is massiv. What happened?
