  1. Liverpool ironing out terms with Isak and get to the part about how much % of contract as a loyalty bonus:
  2. Could do with some clarity on this like. I'm sure it'll come out in the wash, but is the consensus we got £130m and Isak may have foregone his loyalty bonus?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If we end up with Woltemade and Jackson we can be safe in the knowledge that our talent ID is at least on par with Bayern.
  4. Breakfast rolls around and you're finishing your shreddies when you get a notification: Newcastle United bid accepted for × Who fills in the blank? Yeah no one is replacing Isak like-for-like. Ignoring the elephant rat in the room, and taking perspective, our window has been pretty decent. Who is the best feasible incoming to stop all your doom and gloom? Muani deal is floundering with Juve and PSG insist on a loan with obligation (we have the funds) Samu currently has a muscle injury and has shown preference to staying in Portugal Ramos similarly has shown preference to PSG Strand-Larsen wants to come, has a reported 'achilles' issue that meant he missed last game Wissa really wants to come, has acted a bit of a tit but is training with squad just not selected for games Someone else?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Maybe my heads in the clouds, but can't help way I am. I don't think the club is as idiotic as a lot of folk are making out (not that you said that), and so I expect they've made the Isak deal because they've got a competent transfer already lined up.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I seriously rate Wissa but £50m+ for him at 29 with 1+1 (option) years on contract would be outrageous. I expect something else in the morning much like the Woltemade signing. Beyond that, with the PSR headroom we have specifically for this year (due to nature of how sales are booked on accounting), we should be looking to loan some talent.
  7. Giz us news of Muani transfer in the morning and a creative attacking MF later on and this Billy Bookshelf bellend will be a thing of the past.
  8. I know it's early but being a negative cunt is not in my wheelhouse (mostly). So with that, I can only assume we've got a 2nd striker lined up and we've pulled the trigger on Isak so that we can act freely. Here's hoping we sign someone exciting. Either way, glad this treasonous cunt is gone. Good riddance.
  9. It would. We already know Eddie would put Gordan up top (as has been proven), and despite his recent lack of discipline he'll be our 3rd striker in the depth chart. Eddie sees what all of us do really. Osula tries hard, eager to please (maybe too eager) but lacks striker instincts, confidence and experience. I quite like Osula personally so I'd want to see if he can progress on loan.
  10. I agree vis-à-vis quality and chance creation from wingers for sure. Our possession wasn't crazy high, and intensity doesn't just mean pressing and out of possession. I think we were flat in possession which made it pretty simple for Leeds to sit back.
  11. Couldn't disagree more with the formations-nonces. We played 4-3-3 from 60 mins onwards with fresh legs of Barnes, Elanga and Hall and we did not look any more threatening. We have the same issues with breaking down 10 players behind the ball as always. No formation is gonna solve that. Midfield and wings lacked creativity nor did we play with the intensity we had vs Villa/Liverpool.
  12. Bland game. Didn't seem like we were ever really up for it with our classic intensity. I don't think formation makes a lick of difference. On paper bringing Barnes, Hall and Elanga on you'd expect to see more quality going forward especially with fresh legs, but we still have the same issue with breaking down a low block as always. Woltemade is a pretty creative link-up player so hopefully that'll help but feel like the midfield can do more.
  13. Eddie being flexible to rotations and formation changes can only be a good thing. We already know he is tactically solid but I couldn't be happier that is he being more adaptable. This has been my sole criticism of his over the years. Good stuff. Feeling buoyed, 3-1.
  14. Nothing but respect the Skandi' hating. You guys are top for that, and I can only agree that Høylund is ass but Man U is also a death knell for career development currently. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was Nordmenn and Svenskar that hated one another with the Danskere being unintelligible troglodytes?

I don't really believe the Camavinga links are legitimate, but I will say that it's not enticing a prospect as you might first think. When he was fit and in form he was very solid but he's had a slew of injuries, especially recently. Take a look:

  17. Thank god they don't run the club then. I trust our personnel team almost implicitly at this point, and the way the striker market is going JSL will be worth 80m next summer
  18. Deja vu. Wasn't this reported a week ago?

    Nick Woltemade

Aye fair point, he could just be being coy. I do suspect he may be telling the truth though as the context of registration one day prior to a PL game is very different to a pre-season signing (Barnes). Let's hope he was done in time though.

    Nick Woltemade

Eddie said himself it's not looking like registration will happen in time for reasons he doesn't really understand. Thought that was interesting. [Relevant question and answer timestamped]

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Fermín is pie-in-the-sky stuff. Would be an all-timer of a window if that came off plus another striker (Strand-Larsen, Wissa etc). Don't think it's likely though. I can see us getting another midfielder.
  22. Fantastic stuff. Hope we can be gracious in receiving them to the toon and having a good time. The only time red and white would be as welcomed.
