Newcastle have beaten Arsenal three times this season, 1-0 in the PL and 2-0 in both legs of the League Cup semi-final. No team has ever beaten the Gunners four times in a single campaign. Lets do it Lads. -
A Quote from a Chelsea fan on theshedend.com, After better recent results, I was hoping we could go there and somehow get the 3 points yesterday. But when you look at it, you realise Newcastle have a 100% better coach than we do. They have a 100% better striker than we do (they actually have a striker - we have a f**k-wit). Their keeper is better than ours. Their wide players are better and more consistent than ours. And to cap it all, in their squad they have Livramento and Hall, both getting plenty of game time who we deemed not good enough. In short, as much as it pains me, Newcastle are currently a much better run football club than us and right now, more worthy of CL football. Lets just hope we address that pretty soon. It hurts them Knowing they lost 2 very good players in Livramento and Hall

lets be positive 2 wins and we finish 2nd, thanks for keeping the place warm Arteta. -
Huge Huge win now lets get the gooners.
-
Villa win hasn't impressed the betting odds, we are still 2/9 for the top 5 on oddschecker with villa at 7/2
-
Nothing to say really, we where just burnt out slim team to pick from. But this was a free hit and not a have to win. still feel we are nailed on for the top 5 HWTL.
-
I’d be delighted if Chelsea missed out on the CL, they must be running short of things to sell to themselves and cheat the system.
-
Well Done Agent Guehi. His own goal at St James’ Park and in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park saw 24-year-old become only the second player in Premier League history to concede an own goal both home and away against the same opponent in a single season.
-
Barnes is class and we got the best player when they sold Teilemans and Maddison all at the same time.

Howay the lasses!

[LCF] Newcastle United 2-1 Liverpool - NUFC LEAGUE CUP WINNERS
GeordieToon replied to 54's topic in Football
Finally the lads got the cup we needed now onwards and upwards. Now we have to make a statue of Eddie HWTL. -
So how do you explain the 60/70 mil we where going to spend on marc guehi where did that go ?????. Something's not adding up here .

Someone at the club needs to update the fans Of what's going on. No updates from the club since Staveley left. The majority of this side looks very tired. And no one on the bench to make a difference. no decent signings for 2 years, We seem to be back in the Ashley era.
-
Yes Arteta was correct it was a problem with the ball. the problem was it went in the Arsenal goal twice. And not in our goal.
-
Ange Postecoglou If things had been equal we would have won.
-
What a perfect midfield Howe has structured, onwards and upwards.
-
When Livramento & Hall came from chelsea a lot of there fans said it was a bad decsion to let them both go. you can see why now going to be top top players.
-
Solid performance, Hope Arteta enjoys the journey back, He will be moaning all the way home about time wasting.
-
Why does Eddie keep substituting SANDRO TONALI He has played more minutes for italy than at Newcastle united.
-
Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)
GeordieToon replied to 54's topic in Football
I think Arne Slot not going in for Minteh speaks volumes, He had an impresive season at Feyenoord under Slot, But he cant rate him as a top prem player. Otherwise he would have gone in for him. No doubt he is a very good player. but at top level, there must be doubts. -
6th and not really firing on all cylinders, only decent game we have played was against city. get isak back and we can move up the table.

need to give the lad time. most players who come under howe need time to adjust. just look at Gordon he said he was blowing out his arse for the first 6 month. but boy has he come good now.
